Best Dictatorship Minecraft Servers

The idea for MC Cubed started from the owner and a friend of his growing tired of the way that typical Minecraft servers are operated. In a normal setup, the owner of the server is essentially a dictator. Since it’s his server, anything he says goes, and his word is law. This seemed strange to us, because historically, dictatorships are short-lived, and always result in the general unhappiness of the populace. Having played on many different Minecraft servers and having seen that almost all of them are run this way, we wanted to create the first true democracy on a Minecraft server.

Since the community is what makes or breaks a server, we felt it only made sense to manage it with that in mind. Here on MC Cubed, our members have a say in what happens. Our ranked members have the ability to vote on major (and sometimes even minor) changes that will be made to the server, meaning that MC Cubed is the product of the collective community consensus.

In this voting system, the Ranked player base has the same amount of say in a given decision as the owner of the server. We intentionally designed it this way so that MC Cubed can never become the dictatorship that exists across virtually every other Minecraft server. Another sad fact that this protects against is absentee staff / owners. Unlike other servers, MC Cubed will always have an active staff member with the ability to make changes to the server itself, whether that means installing / uninstalling plugins, restarting the server, or other changes normally reserved for the owner. We know that there are going to be times when the owner doesn’t have time to access the server, and because of this we wanted to ensure that the Community still got the experience they want. MC Cubed won’t grow stagnant due to an inactive staff. We’re designed with continuity in mind.

In short, MC Cubed is one of the only, if not the only, server where your opinion actually matters. If you have an idea on how we can make our server better, we encourage you to submit it via our forums, where it will be reviewed and taken to a vote. If the vote passes, your idea will become reality. Through this same system, if there is an existing aspect of the server that you’d like changed, you can submit a change request, and if it passes, the server will be changed accordingly. As stated above, MC Cubed is truly the product of Community consensus.
