Every day and every hour the story changes and grows. Gildorym hosts several Dungeon Masters, New and Experienced, along with a solid roleplay community. Find out what your characters would do if they were not in a dungeon or fighting bad guys. Gildorym expands on the Dungeons and Dragons roleplay by adding the day to day tasks: Farming, Selling, Arguing at your neighbor who plays bardic music too loud.
The server is accessible 24/7 with a growing staff of Dungeon Masters; always accepting applications. If the staff Dungeon Master life doesn’t interest you we also have a Creator World where non-staff Dungeon Masters can host their own campaigns.
Gildorym is a Minecraft server but Minecraft is one of the best places to host Dungeons & Dragon events. Each block in Minecraft is a square on a Roll20 or Dungeons & Dragons playing board. While Dungeons & Dragons has figurines and intricate setups to pull you into the scene at Gildorym we build the scenes allowing you to explore the map non-stop and finding new things every time. Step back from the board and come see your surroundings from the point of view of your character.
MMOs try to say you can be whatever you want in their games; but can you really? Besides being a god you can be anything its how you want to roleplay: Are you a savior? Then be a hero or a healer, Do you think you can bend the will of others or cause mayhem then be a villain or a politician, Do you want a peaceful life with no responsibilities be a farmer, merchant, or raise a family. You could rule a town build alliances with other towns and turn it into a kingdom and create a royal line and more.
But we don’t want to just build an area and force you to live in it. No, we bring the roleplay aspect forward and allow groups of players to build their own cities and their own towns creating the story and giving the Dungeon Masters places to play and tell a story. That’s not all hold your gear in your hand, wear it or don’t. We have lore-texted loot distributed by Staff members to bring roleplay to the next level.
Normal Events & World Events
Run events with different people and different Dungeon Masters. The main story is called World Events they are run with at least 3 Dungeon Masters running either each day or the same day with three different groups. Each group changes how the other ones progress.
Example: If Group A (Level 1s-5s) are in charge of defending the base camp so Group B (Level 6s-9s) can have a place to come back to. Say Group A gets overwhelmed than when Group B is done with their event and returning they may come to a destroyed camp, dead allies, or have a wave of monsters to fight after their own fight.
We don’t want the story to be stagnant we want to see wins, losses, victories, and defeats. Only then can you really treasure climbing over a difficult hurdle and winning a dangerous situation?

2. Take part in Multi-Dungeon Master ran world events (Simultaneous 6 man events happening in the same event
3. Player ran towns, villages, and cities
4. Wander on a 3D map take a look from the POV of your character
5. Play who and how you want. Be a Hero or Be a Villian
6. Two roleplay styles (be a Combatant/Adventurer or a Non-Combatant/Civilian)
7. Lore-texted loot & items
8. Explore other areas as the story progresses (Fey Wild, Waterdeep, etc)
9. Build in the Creator World (Non-Staff Campaign world) Host events even if you are not a staff member. Make your own story for the community that won’t change the main world storyline.
10. Play a character you can level up and fight with monsters or use our default Commoner Character sheet and never take part in events.

About our vanilla server
We are a Minecraft survival multiplayer server (SMP). Here you’ll find multiple game modes, including our fully vanilla game mode, the original vanilla game mode we all know and love, the way Minecraft was intended to be played. We also have a separate economy gamemode, you can learn more about it below.
On this vanilla server you’ll be able to enjoy Minecraft without any modifications, without money, without any extra commands. We event left the chat untouched! We can safely claim that you won’t find any other Minecraft server more vanilla than ours. The reason behind that is simple — vanilla servers are economically non-viable, unless you have a decent, sustained amount of support from the community. Thankfully, we do have that support, thanks to being the greatest, best vanilla server for the 1.20 Minecraft version.
You can not claim any builds here, and we consider ourselves a competitive server, but you’ll find plenty of people who will help you get started, there are also pretty chill players. Just watch out and don’t build too close to spawn, people won’t grief your builds unless they have a good competitive reason to do so. We are not 2b2t, so griefing for the sake of destroying is not allowed. You’ll have fun playing this game mode, getting to know new amazing people, create your little town or base, and just enjoying the game as you used to do when you created that server using hamachi when you were 9 🥲. About our survival economy server
In order to guarantee a lag-free experience, good game play, perfect ping and make our server viable, we also have another game mode, our economy sever. Note this server is completely individual from our vanilla server, so you won’t find any economy-related features on the vanilla realm. Thanks to our years of expertise, we know how to create the best survival server for Minecraft 1.20. We can claim that thanks to our completely unique economy system. Here, you’ll be delighted with money appearing when breaking ores, chopping down trees, harvesting crops, and more! They even make a satisfying “Kaching!” sound when you get them 🥹, beautiful.
Here, you can claim your builds and safely play with friends without having the risk of any strangers breaking into your precious house. You can even monetize your claims by creating a public warp, players will be able to pay in order to unlock the warp. About server updates and resets
Make sure you are using the latest Minecraft version (1.20 as I’m typing this). The server very much updated. For real, this server is usually the first server among of the thousands listed on this site to update its Minecraft version. We want all players to enjoy releases as soon as they are published, so you won’t have to wait more than a day to play them!
We also don’t reset out world, unless more players want us to reset it. For example, last time we waited about 3 years to reset our map. We also did reset the nether dimension when the nether update dropped. We are very reasonable with this topic, and we take player legacy very seriously. We follow a democratic process for this, and, chances are, if you don’t want the world to be reset, most players won’t like the idea either, so your builds, your time, and your grinding is safe on this server, that is just one of the many reasons players trust us 🙂.
