About me

I started Elysia several years ago, and I've since had the privilege of watching it grow and flourish into such an incredible community. There're players who've been here since day 1, and players I've become close friends with.

Server hosting was a hobby I picked up in 2013 as a kid hoping to just find a few people to play Minecraft with, and between then and now I've ran several servers big and small but none have stuck in my heart quite like Elysia has. This server will stay running until there's nobody left playing this game.

About Elysia

While marked as semi-vanilla, the actual experience is identically vanilla. We just use a few plugins to prevent grief, hook into discord, have a web map, etc.

Elysia is a whitelisted serverwhich is an important filter in making sure everyone you'll meet is friendly, accepting and an overall pleasant addition.

LGBTQ+ Friendly is a core belief of ours, and inclusivity is something we won't compromise on.

16+ Dedicated Players. While in the past we've had some friendly several hour long Minecraft DND night (which we did a few times last season).
With that said though, we have an array of activity and skill levels ranging from casual players to people that clearly must have longer days than I given how incredible some of their projects are.

  • Armor Stand Toolswith features like turning them invisible or small to pull off tricks like these (my house so far this season)

  • A web based world map rendered in the highest quality & with multiple perspectives to admire your builds or spy on others.
  • Gradual world border expansion keeping things fresh. The next one's later today, where the map goes from a 1k radius to 2k. This nulls the advantage day 1 players have, and allows people who missed launch to experience that initial exploration.
  • Grief prevention systems in-place to detect & seamlessly revert grief.
  • Adult staff team with years of experience and void of power complexes. It's a really lowkey server, 99% of the time all we do is mark dynmap claims or help out with redstone.

Exodus Returns Server

Exodus Returns is a tiny community server based around a group of players who have travelled across the multiverse of vanilla servers to eventually get our own place! We were once a clan of sorts, but these days we are friends and looking to add to that! We are cooperative builders, a lot of us are older players from UK, USA, Germany, Indonesia… all over! Exo itself has been going since 2021, though the server is a new thing.

The server runs on fabric, we have about 25 in the discord and about 5 are currently active on the server building stuff right now. Just a couple of mods for performance, as well as heads and dynamap. We built a spawn area and have a few settlements within 4k of spawn, but its a big and unexplored map with the most up to date game version.

Player base is a good mix of highly experienced folk and newbies', mainly looking for people who want to get into the game or people who just want somewhere stable and free from agro to build stuff. Redstone welcome, mega-builds welcome.
