Welcome to The Vortex MC! This server had been a dream of mine and co-owner KingOceiros’s for over five years! Recently, we decided to take a chance and start working on our dream server, and… voila!
This server was built on the basis of a small and tight-knit community. We value the experience of a small number of players above all, because small servers are how we got interested in the game! After the tragic downfall of a couple small servers we used to play on daily, we decided it was time to create our own server – and one that’s here to stay!
Our server has three gamemodes and counting: a peaceful Survival PvE mode, where cooperation is encouraged and PvP is disabled; a brutal Factions mode, where clans form allies and go to war; and a serene Creative mode with Plotsquared, which encourages players to use their creativity and building skills to make beautiful things!
Upcoming gamemodes include a larger Creative Plots world, a Creative Terrain world, Kit PvP, and Hide ‘N’ Seek!
We are currently still in the testing phase and we encourage players to be helpful and respectful of our server-in-progress!

We are a Vanilla survival server, trying to keep to the vanilla game-play we’ve all come to know and love. This means we try to limit what we add command and feature wise to things that make sense game play wise, or are convenient for server moderation. We are a community server. 90% of what we do is decided by server-wide polls. Meaning you have a say in any changes we might may to make to the server. We are a friendly, and mostly mature community. When 1.20 is released i’ll be opening up my SMP server to the public! The server is currently active but whitelisted – we’re looking for new players so I decided to post it here!
The features on here are kept to a bare minimum to keep the server as vanilla as possible. I have however added the function to have homes along with being able to send teleport requests to other players. The server also has a diamond economy using diamonds as the currency to trade with other players, these diamonds can be kept in a bank so you always have access to your funds wherever you are on the server.
Keep inventory is NOT on.
The only requirement is that you’re somewhat mature and fair. If you feel that you’d like to give it a shot, please send in your application via Discord
