Typical Craft is a building community in which players connect with one another on a daily basis to play survival with a twist. We have an experienced staff and first-rate developers that help to maintain the server’s superior quality. We are constantly making updates ensuring that our players will be operating with the latest versions of our plugins and spigot. We work hard to alleviate any issue that arises on Typical Craft and can easily be contacted. The server is owned by a very involved dedicated and experienced player. We have been in operation since the summer of 2012 and our server has seen tremendous success thus far. We pride ourselves on our impressive playtime extended due to minimal plug-ins, which immensely reduces the lag time. The sever also offers chestshops where players can buy and sell items. Our latest plug-in to our custom arsenal is our ‘no combat logging’ plug-in, which prohibits players from logging out during a combat for PVPers. You won’t have to worry about anyone logging out before your loot drops! Our team of highly specialized staff works hard to add customized plug-ins that enhances experience and are constantly looking for areas of improvement.

How we define Anarchy; We define Anarchy as a Minecraft server with no limits to gameplay or experiences. We define Anarchy as an MC experience with zero rules and a million possibilities. We want to completely eliminate hacking on Alternative Anarchy and provide a more hands-on, interactive experience. This idea is extremely controversial and will not be liked by many but hear us out. Some would say the golden days of 2b2t were when players did not use hacks and everything that happened felt more accomplishing. Traveling large distances are WORTH it because you can build a amazing base and have it last ages. GRIEFING will be more accomplishing because finding bases will be harder and the reaction of the victims will be better. WARS will be more accomplishing because pvp will be more legit and strategies will be thought out and executed better. Anything you could do on 2b2t will be 10x more accomplishing,worth it, hands on, and overall FUN.
How will this be accomplished; We will use multiple plugins/scripts to block hacks. If we have to we will eventually block users from joining on clients altogether. It’s our responsibility to keep the idea of our server alive and updated. If someone breaches the ant-hack we will find a way to stop it from happening again.
Rules LOL; Remember this is Anarchy there are ZERO RULES. You find a glitch in-game EXPLOIT IT, You wanna destroy spawn DESTROY IT, You wanna kill a player and destroy his hard work DO IT, finally, you wanna somehow build a legendary base with a group of 10 and protect it for as long as you can DO IT. Like we said its our responsibility to keep players from hacking on our server NOT YOURS. If you somehow hack on the server its totally fair game but expect us to find a way to stop you from doing it again. Again ZERO RULES. We encourage you to break the possibilities of Minecraft, we encourage you to break your morals.

Overview
Our main guideline to leave the "meta" of pure Vanilla survival as unaltered as possible (for a public server).
The only 3 plugins that interfere with this are:
GriefPrevention, a sleep voting plugin, and player item shops for trading. That means as many features from other plugins you know from other servers are absent by design and won't be added. There are two ranks "new" and "player"they do not give any benefits. You can not buy "power" for real money here and we have no adminshops. Everything on the map was build and farmed in survival. All elbow grease.

Community
What you have read so far sounds like your cup of tea? Well then you may fit right in. Laid back rules, a close-knit community, having some events from time to time, and there is always something you can help with. Staff and other players are usually available to help you. Need help digging? Just died far away? Raid an Ocean Monument? No problem! We also have a Hermitcraft-like shop area for players using a trade shop plugin.

Gameplay
This is supposed to feel like a vanilla server. The default currency is diamonds. This is not enforced its just what everyone uses. No warps, you have to walk, fly by Elytra, or set up infrastructure such as railroads or blue ice highways. You can focus on long term projects, take your time, because we NEVER RESET the map. No activity threshold! Megabases welcome! Leave for months, pick right up where you left.
In +7 years time we built a lot of farms and infrastructure. This makes it a lot easier to get going early in the game, especially for endgame-players. But fear not, there is always need for expanding upon whats already there.The spawn city is protected. Areas there are released for community builds. Outside the city you can build your own base(s). You will get more claimblocks during play.

Specs & Plugins
Hosted in Germany with 128GB Ram, a Intel i9-9900k, and 1TB NVMe SSD; the server runs on Paper. Regarding updates we don't always run the latest version but we plan to update to every major release eventually. In case an update brings a big change in world generation (e.g. 1.18) we delete chunks that have been loaded less than 5 minutes. Meaning someone likely just passed by while exploring.
For land claiming we use GriefPrevention, which lets you protect areas you selected with a golden shovel. You can allow certain or all players to build and or access chests/buttons, on your claim. It also protects your claims and the worlds surface from creepers. Then there is also a chest shop plugin. You can use iron nuggets to create villager-like trades. You can do this anywhere, but its recommended to do this in the shopping area or your claim. Harbor is a plugin which skips the night, if 20% or more players are in bed. Lastly there is one that lets you rotate Glazed Terracotta.
Additionally we have some datapacks and tweaks: Ghasts don't break nether blocks. You can silent mobs by naming them "silent" (undo with "unsilent"). Your 1st kill of the Enderdragon gets you an Elytra. Craftable Enchanted Golden Apples. Hermitcraft posable Armorstands. Some recipes have been tweaked (bone blocks directly from bones, recolor glass,… )

Season 5 of Refuge SMP launched on 4/13 and was updated to 1.21.1 on 9/13. This is a long, ongoing season that still has some major events and activities in the works and plenty of space to build and explore! A longer season allows for those of us with busy schedules not to feel rushed to complete projects and allows time for plenty of server events. What kind of server is Refuge?
We are a Java SMP using the Bloom Hosting platform with admins/owners located in the US and AUS, so there will always be staff around to help! A full list of the QoL mods and vanilla tweaks we use is available in Discord. We have a casual player base of very friendly and welcoming avid Minecraft players ranging from age 18 to 35 and located in Australia, the Netherlands, Canada, the UK, and the US. Understanding that everyone has a life outside of gaming, there is no minimum activity requirement. Just come and chill when you like (:
Following the traits of Hermitcraft season 9, we strive to be a community-orientated server that stays somewhat close together. The idea is that groups are formed so that each time you log in something new is happening on the server, rather than an SMP where everyone is distant and antisocial. We don’t plan much of an economy and prefer to share resources; however, shops are always welcome and we typically do create a shopping district/area.
A donation page is set up via PayPal for the server to help with costs and go towards future upgrades, with in-game cosmetic gifts for donors (these do not affect the actual gameplay or mechanics). Donations are very much appreciated but in no way required for any activity on the server.

- Mods: A few QoL mods/datapacks for a better experience.
- No TP: No such mods as /tpa or /home to keep the server vanilla.
What kind of people am I looking for?
- I’m looking for active players, people who will join not just for the sake of joining, but will actually try the server out despite the low player count that I’m trying to fix.
