Hello, welcome to Fidus Achates, devoted friends!

We are a brand new server with some staff that have been playing the game since 2010. One of our staff, Kormak1234, formerly gameroy8, was even at one of the first Minecon conventions! He’s my cousin. If you’ve ever been on BurlywoodsMC way back in the day, that was his server, now he runs Fidus Achates with me.

We’re very little right now but we are running an Extra Life charity event.

Wasteland Survival

Looking for an interesting twist on your standard survival? Wasteland Survival features ToxicSkies and CityWorld to create an environment of a devestated world with poisonous air. Players are challenged to rebuild society amidst the rubble of a lost civilization.

The landscape is littered with impressively destroyed cities, bunkers, sewers, and even mine-shafts to explore. All of these are filled with renewable chests to provide useful loots to players.

The poisonous air drains the strength of players, their hunger bar, causing one to die of hunger if protection is not acquired. Being inside or wearing a pumpkin helmet will provide safety from the toxicity.

You will find available housing under the protection of the Phoenix Dome, or you may purchase protection blocks to protect your own land out amidst the ruins. Large enough protections are provided in order to allow players to even build their own communities.

Utilizing Hyperconomy and an add-on GUI, all items are able to be easily bought and sold through server shops. Players also have the ability to create their own chest shops for profit.

This server is a part of the Mineconomy network, and thus provides access to other featured servers as well!

If you are a fan of Disney and Minecraft, then you have got to see this. McMagic is Minecraft’s most complete to-scale version of the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. Originally started on the Reddit Creative Servers by our owner, therealduckie, in 2011, this replica of the Walt Disney World Resort features working rides, choreographed shows (including firework shows), all four of the Theme Parks (Animal Kingdom is currently about 60% done), and four of the many Resorts found on site. Magical Parks is a 1:1 scale Disneyland Resort Server. By going to Magical Parks, you’re able to visually experience what the rides and shows are like. Due to hours of planning and over a year of mathematical set up, Magical Parks is allowed to say that their parks are truly one to one scale. The parks are located on the correct angles in relation to the equator so, everything from trash cans to roads are also located in the correct position.

This is a survival server with TNTHealer, a plugin that allows for faction raids that include TNT, without the permanent long-lasting grief left behind by TNT on a traditional server. After somebody uses TNT to break through your base, yes they can still take your stuff or kill you, but all damages done by TNT are undone on a thirty minute interval. Never will you have to worry about a griefer destroying your beautiful creations just so they can get a little loot.

PixelMoons is a skyblock server with an emphasis on PvP and a player driven eco system. In PixelMoons the nether opens bi-weekly, allowing players to enter a world of valuable otherwise unobtainable resources and open world PvP. We aim to provide a stable, 24/7 server that upholds the values of vanilla while preserving the hard work put in by those who decide to participate. Created with the values in mind and the motivation provided from those who servers falsely advertised vanilla but rather had folders filled to the brim with plugins. We believe in providing the classic Minecraft SMP experience as the game was intended to be played, meaning no gameplay-modifying plugins, no creative mode usage by any staff whatsoever, and no world resets.

The Community

One of the key things setting The Vanilla Touch apart from other survival servers is the active, friendly, and tight-knit community, as well as the unique etiquette, playstyle, and culture of our members. Each and every build on the server was made legitimately by fellow players, entirely in survival mode. If you’re a fan of SMP YouTube series such as Hermitcraft or Mindcrack, you may be interested in The Vanilla Touch.

Only a small fraction of the world has been explored, so there is plenty of land for you to claim as your own. Feel free to join one of the few settlements that already exist, go solo, or even build an entirely new town of your own! The possibilities are infinitely vast on The Vanilla Touch.

Applications

The Vanilla Touch is a whitelisted server, so you must apply. Please do so by joining the Vanilla Touch Discord server linked below. Please mention your in-game username and leave a short explanation of why you are interested and what you have to bring to the server.

Rules

Please keep in mind that The Vanilla Touch is not an anarchy server. While we aim to keep in line with our vanilla Minecraft philosophy as much as possible, we have a set of rules put in place to ensure that players do not infringe upon others’ right to enjoy the game. These are enforced by active moderators, and they are easy to follow:

Do not mess with other players’ projects.

No griefing or stealing of others items.

No disrespect or hates speech of any kind, although swearing is allowed.

No hacking, cheating, or any third party scripts of any kind.

No PVP unless both players give consent.

Duping or major glitches not disclosed are not tolerated.

There is a single plugin installed on the server, CoreProtect. This plugin does not interfere or intrude on normal play in any circumstance. Its purpose is to ensure that transactions are logged, griefed buildings are restored to their former glory, and those responsible are held accountable for their actions.

Updates

We fully intend on updating the server as Minecraft progresses, we are ready to update the map to 1.16 and are excited for future updates!

Our network is divided between two main gamemodes:
Creative Build Discovery and Towny Survival.

Creative Build Discovery

Creative Build Discovery is a creative-mode server that puts an emphasis on sharing your builds with the community. Using our custom build discovery and submission system, you can earn server ranks by sharing your creations with friends. We offer both regular-sized and large-sized plots upon joining the server for the first time, so you should never run out of space for creation. We also offer some of the most advanced building tools easily accessible such as WorldEdit, Arceon, VoxelSniper, GoBrush, GoPaint, and more!

Towny Survival

We also run a high-class Towny server, which offers competitive PvP, free ranks, land protections, and so much more! Our Towny server allows toggleable PvP, an economy-oriented ranking ladder, and no griefing/stealing, creating a very laid back experience. On our Towny server, the economy is community-driven. This means that there is no admin shop, and everyone has the ability to create their own marketplaces and make extra money by selling their valuables to fellow players!
