I made this server because I feel nostalgic of what good survival servers used to be like, especially in the mid-2010s. I remember how happy I was as a kid to log onto a server to play survival with friends. Things were simple, straightforward, and most importantly, fun.
I want to recreate the same joy I felt back then in this server, by solving the 3 main problems I see with survival servers (and honestly, all servers in general) nowadays:
#1. A completely non-pay-to-win system that allows players to earn ranks. Not separate “earnable” ranks, but actual ranks with all the benefits.
#2. A balanced and regulated player-based economy that uses actual data to avoid abuse and inflation, supplemented by fair income sources.
#3. A prioritization of quality over quantity. I see too many SMPs trying to be “unique” by doing ironically common things like quests, dungeons, and earth maps. I think the best way is to improve upon existing, necessary features that work well together, instead of adding so many conflicting features that never get finished.

Active Discord:
Our Discord is active almost 24/7. Joining the voice call is, of course, not required but it is highly encouraged and adds a ton to the server experience. We’re a friendly bunch and always open to meeting new people.
Diverse Community:
We’ve got players from the United States, Europe, Central America, etc. Everyone is treated equally (for better or worse) and nobody will care what you identify as or who you are attracted to.
Free Speech:
You will not be punished for having an opinion or making a joke. Criticizing staff, criticizing the server, voicing your opinions, etc., is allowed and encouraged. We don’t take things personally, provided you’re not actively causing problems.
Vanilla Experience:
The server runs with minimal plugins. We use CoreProtect to mitigate griefing and theft, and a few plugins to manage lag (nothing that will break your farms) and facilitate server management. There are no teleports, no land claims, no economy plugins, nothing that will subtract from vanilla gameplay. We do have the Realistic Seasons plugin to add some variety, but this can be disabled easily by the player.
Democracy:
Almost all major decisions pertaining to the server are left to a vote. Map resets, staff appointments, rule changes, etc., are all left to a vote. Feedback is always welcome and sincere feedback is taken seriously.
Creative Server:
Prototype builds and have fun with full access to game-mode commands, WorldEdit commands, VoxelSniper commands, and more on our creative server! Build Battles and other competitions are hosted regularly on the creative server.
Competent Staff:
All staff members are over 18, experienced, and generally friendly. Moderators and administrators do not power trip and will promptly removed from the staff team if they do. If you have any problems, we will solve them quickly and completely.
No P2W:
There are no donation roles, buyable cosmetics, or anything like that. You will never be solicited for money and categorically do not accept donations of any kind. The point of the server is to have fun and make friends, not to be profitable.
Server Rules:
Griefing and theft are forbidden. CoreProtect is used to enforce this.
Hacks, x-ray, and glitches are forbidden. TNT, carpet, & rail duping are permitted.
Spam and excessive self-promotion are forbidden. This includes mic-spam.
Discord TOS violations will result in a ban from our Discord.
Sexually-explicit content is forbidden.
Employ basic social etiquette in the VC.

Comfysmp is set to publicly release on 4/6/22 using a unique new seed that generates a chillin landscape with access to many different biomes all within 3000 blocks of spawn. You will be able to join on java edition 1.9.x – 1.18.x, but I highly recommend using 1.18.x to avoid errors. The server is running with 16GB of RAM, 1TB nvme SSD storage and a goal of 24/7 uptime. As of its new release: Comfy is a lightly upgraded vanilla/anarchy server with just enough enhancements to greatly improve the experience. Helpful commands such as /tpa, /tpahere, /back, /kill, /ignore etc… are available as well as small additions, for example the ability to mine mob-spawners with a silk enchantment. When you log in, expect to be spawned in at a random location near the central spawnpoint, and from there its up to you! Building, pvp and /tpa are allowed everywhere in the server. No hang-ups like accepting rules, spawns, warps, tutorials, verifications etc… just log in and immediately start playing! My main inspirations were past enhanced vanilla servers I have ran, as well as classics like 2b2t. I also recommend using: [Faithful 1.18 texture pack: https://faithful.team/ ][OptiFine: https://optifine.net/home ] (both optional). Griefing/raiding is allowed. Because of this its advisable to team up, and try to build your bases farther away from spawn. What is not allowed: excessive spamming, promoting, intentional lagging/crashing, over-the-top hack clients which sabotage the server or give you too much of an advantage, any attempt to shut the server down. This is a non-profit project which will have no paid features, please consider voting as it’ll really help us to grow our playerbase. This is a brand new server, with a brand new world file, let’s fill it up. We are actively looking for help/suggestions/criticisms/team members/discord mods. Cwoare started in 2014, as a survival server then changed into a Network named Cwoare Network. We aim for a great community and fun.
We currently offer the following game modes to our community:

A thousand years ago, when magic was raw and powerful, a necromancer known as Evexius sought to steal power from the 5 greatest champions of the age. They were Holston, Newarra, Vindarius, Man’nah and Arnora. Though the five champions eventually defeated Evexius, the forces he controlled could not be defeated.
As such, powerful wards were put in place guarded by elite mages. Should even one of the wards break, the forced that gather outside will be let in and Avalorne will be swarmed.
The five champions decided that in order to make sure that never happens, they were to educate those of magical talent. Teach them how to weild their power, so no one like Evexius ever rises again.
In turn they went their own ways and set up their own magical schools. Holston stayed central, creating Holbore School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Newarra went far to the south and set up Uchawmba Institute of Magic, Vindarius headed west and founded Stormbark School for the Magical Arts, Man’nah went north and set up Katira Academy of Forgotten Magics and finally Arnora went to the north and founded Evignar, Academy of Sorcery.
For the last thousand years, the five schools have worked in harmony together, making sure the peoples of Avalorne are educated in the various magical arts. Each school prides itself on it’s specialisations, like Uchawmba which specialises in druidic magic, or Evignar which focuses more of powerful offensive magics. While other schools have sprung up here and there, none of them can hold a candle to the original five.
Welcome to Avalorne!
Avalorne is a world I’ve been working on for over two years now. It includes various castles and towers, prisons and vast cities. It is a world where magic rules and where those who have the talent, can train at one of the lands most prestigious schools of magic.
The server world here is merely a museum world. You can’t (or shouldn’t be able to) break any block but you should be able to fly around and take in all the world has to offer. The server should hopefully be updated now and again to show what I’ve been working on.
There is no whitelist, no reccomended resource pack, though I personally use Excalibur. Jump in and take a look around!
I should mention that the server is massively WIP. ๏ปฟThings will look incomplete, castles may seem empty or barren. roads incomplete. This is completley normal. It’s a long project and I jump between builds depending on how engaged I am with them.
