This is an SMP that is really just an SMP to chill or hang out, with no pressure. There is absolutely no griefing allowed on this Minecraft SMP, because that ruins the fun, and all the hard work put into the builds. This server has lives when you join you’ll have 3 lives, but I’ll upgrade that to 10 if you want. Thank you! Also, if you vote for this server on the server page You get 1 netherite ingot. Gold ingots/gold blocks are the currency.
Obsidian can be broken after 13 nearby explosions. Netherite blocks are the only blocks safe from destruction.
Chests inside faction territory are unprotected.

its been a problem ever since minecraft servers have been initiated,
players with netherite walking around, with the end completed in less than 2 hours, and everyone miles ahead of you. And you… just a basic player with no more than stone tools and a shield.

This…
This is a horrible feeling, the feeling that you wont be able to catch up, or that theres nothing left to do, a feeling of empty accomplishment. Its such an unencouraging feeling that youll leave the server and hunt down servers that have just started, just to experience the drive for completion, and most the times, you wont find it, and for the ones that you do? Youll get bored in less than a week

Is there a solution? Probably not, but there may be alternatives
Lineage
This idea popped in my head after joining a minecraft server that had been open for less than a week, and seeing giant sculptures and everyone decked with netherite armor. I had no idea what to do as everything had been monopolized and everything was completed, nothing left.
This idea is what i call Lineage
Every day a vote will happen to reset the server, if the vote is successful, a shrine near spawn will have a beacon light appear from it, and specific abilities and items can be passed through the light, to affect your next life

Tyrants? Monopolization? Riches? All of these are possible except Immortality, even if you manage to get these your life is not infinite, and the imbalance that your character has against others will be one day balanced, giving everyone an equal shot at power and control.

What you just read was new and upcoming server being created and refined as we speak, pretty soon it will be up and completely ready to play, if any experienced minecraft server creators wanna hop in and give tips and such through the discord, i suggest you go ahead, i wont sugercoat it, i have little experience when it comes to creating servers, but i felt as though my idea should be expressed regardless, if you join the discord youll be put on a whitelist and ill alert you on the progress of the server, and allow everyone to put suggestions into the server such as plugins, but the base idea is that freedom should be favored, griefing, pvp, stealing, is all allowed due to the limited nature of Lineage, of course hacking isnt tolerable in any circumstance, and you will have dire repercussions, grouping and uniting is encouraged, and a moral line is enforced by the players when they feel people who are doing destructive things are going too far. one last thing is that there is in fact an opportunity to reset each day, you shouldnt use that as a reason not to join, as most likely players will unite and a vote like this will be handled as a group when the majority of said group feel as though the game has become boring. We hands down offer one of the most unique, customized Minecraft server experiences. All of our game modes are handcrafted to be nothing like anything you’ve ever seen.

We spend thousands of hours optimizing, customizing, and polishing each game mode. Currently we offer 1.16 Survival, and 1.16 Skyblock. We have many more game modes to come, but not until our current ones are perfect.

The Hardhome Games is now officially an ongoing original smp game experiment I am happy to be hosing on my server network sanctuary as a welcome addition to our lineup of servers, this Anarchy-themed Limited Resource Hardcore smp game mode is built to challenge players with a need for more high stakes and unforgiving multiplayer experience. With a small 500×500 map and three lives that reset once a week players are forced to survive in a dangerous and ever changing environment that forces those that return to the games every week to use their ender chest and player backpack as a bank to bring items with them across games giving them powerful advantages over new players in order to survive. like any game it is played for points and at the end of every week the three players with the highest Kill counts (aka lives earned) will be rewarded and added to the leader-boards. Aside from the rules below and general TOS of all platforms and upholding general decency this is intended to be an almost player run game with little input and rules from the outside moderators as possible and there will intentionally never be a pay to win feature for lives, once you are dead for the week you are dead and must wait until the next week to hop back in, the economy along with the bounty system, jobs, and trading that exists within the game is intended to be entirely freeform and player run so there will never be a given value for any item in the game. Official Rules And Premise (10/14/21)

-500×500 world borders on overworld and nether with a map that resets every Friday morning at 12am est. Your ender chest and backpack are your only safe space for your items and will cary over with you between games as a bank.

-Once the game starts at 12:00am est every Friday the server is now reset in hardcore with your standard 3 lives, if you kill another player you gain one life point that you can exchange for an additional life and when you loose all your lives you will have to wait till the next week to return to the game and play again.

-At the end of the week the 3 players with the highest kill counts will be rewarded and all players with positive scores will be added to the high score boards.

-The economy is to stay fully player run and will be unregulated with in game trading, jobs, quests, and bounties. The value of resources and services is entirely up to the players.

Rewards: Tier rewards are as follows (These will 100%change with time)

gold:

-Golden Champion role on discord and server for the week following game you won and spot on the golden leaderboard. Free promotion of your projects in the discord server.

-Former Gold Champion role on discord and server forever, access to the winners circle.

-One additional Row of storage added to your ender chest and Backpack respectivly, two shulkerboxes of your chosen colour and name, and a Custom Soulbound Netherite tool of your choice with lore about your win.

Silver:

-Silver Champion role on discord and server for the week following game you won and spot on the Silver leaderboard.

-Former Silver Champion role on discord and server forever, access to the winners circle.

-One row added to either your backpack or enderchest Perminantly, one shulkerbox of the chosen colour and name.

Bronze:

-Bronze Champion role on discord and server for the week following game you won and spot on the Bronze leaderboard.
