Welcome to one of the oldest server communities in Minecraft. We pride ourselves on being the oldest pure challenge server in Minecraft and the 3rd oldest server in Minecraft. Our map and community is over 8 years old with our creation date being the 22nd of October 2010.
We specialise in challenges including parkour, mazes, puzzles, adventure maps and hybrid challenges consisting of multiple challenge types. All 250+ of our courses are built by the green community, a part of our community that have earned build rights on the map through getting 35 FFA points on the server and completing our Hardcore System, consisting of 12 difficult courses with few checkpoints in-between. All of our courses have a starting checkpoint and some courses have checkpoints in the middle.

The AussieSMP is an Australian hosted Survival server with a small community of players from around the world. The server is a whitelisted application-based server, if you would like to join you will need to use the link above. This is put in place so that players feel safe that their builds will remain intact and that we don’t have anyone who won’t fit in to the culture on the server. That being said we are always looking for new members and you are welcome to apply at any time!
The gameplay is mostly vanilla with some extra quality of life features like teleports, features that promote player trading and methods to protect from griefing.
If you are wanting to have a ‘pure vanilla’ experience, this server probably won’t be for you as it has some teleport commands and an economy backed by diamonds, but if you’re interested in that, then this server might be a good choice for you (and your friends!).
The server is hosted in Sydney, Australia, meaning if you are in Australia or New Zealand you’ll have a low latency to the server. If you are from somewhere else in the world you are also welcome to join us, just keep in mind that your latency might be a bit higher than the rest of the people on the server and players might not be active while you are on because of timezone differences.
The server is running the latest version so you can enjoy all the new features of the most recent update of Minecraft.
Many other survival servers modify various game mechanics, one of the main aims of this server is to not change too much of the Vanilla mechanics such as how entities act, villagers, terrain generation etc.
A decently sized shopping area that is filled with player created shops that promotes a feeling of community and helps players easily trade between each other. Players use diamonds as currency within these shops to trade for other items/blocks.
Getting out of spawn and into new lands is easy with the use of a random teleport command which can be accessed by right-clicking the NPC at spawn or by typing /rtp. There are also various other teleports that are made available on the server so that you can quickly get back to your base or check up on what your mates are doing.
The server has a land-claiming system that uses a golden shovel. Over time you’ll gain claim blocks that can be used in whichever server you play in, and when you’re ready you can claim your chests and builds to keep them safe from other players. This is purely an optional safeguard, many players don’t claim their land as the community doesn’t appreciate griefing so players who participate in that are very quickly filtered out of the server.
The survival server consists of multiple worlds which have plenty of new 1.21 chunks in them. If you like long-term survival worlds, the AussieSMP is for you! There are no plans to do a full reset of the main worlds ever.
The server is part of a growing network, so not only are there multiple survival worlds, there is a creative server where players can build without limits or just test their redstone contraptions.
Various external community resources such as, Automated Spectator Livestreams on the weekends, a Discord where players can find out future plans for the server or chat with other players, A wiki that has information and guides on how to use features specific to AussieSMP.

PvE – This is our non-PvP server – come along and join us! Players build in survival mode, but only need to worry about mobs! A lot of people collaborate to build towns and cities as for example seen here. Our PvE map reset on June 1, 2024 and is running on 1.20.4. With a fresh, new map you can find some land to build solo or join a town! We also have our Friday/Saturday Games night in which a different player/town hosts a game, which could be spleef, thimble, ice boat races, and even Camel PvP! (Don't worry, the camels stay safe!) This weekend we will have our first Selfie Scavenger Hunt! To participate, head to the fair this Friday and pick up a Fair Selfies book at the challenges tent. The instructions and list of people, places, and / or things you need to take selfies with are listed in the book, along with the rules. Find areas of spawn that will fit the clues given and take a selfie. Combine your selfies into an imgur album and mail them in game to cujobear! TrueOG Network is a 100% free and open source community-oriented Minecraft server. Inspired by the past, but not stuck in it, we bring the "AND" meta to the modern minecraft ecosystem via an expansive suite of custom plugins. The worlds of TrueOG SMP, which are a continuation of the worlds from OG:SMP Season 1, will never be reset.

We have been developing the 1.19 update for a year and a half, and its almost ready to begin testing. 6 plugins left on the to-do list. We are actively recruiting developers and testers. Please join the discord for more information.
Gameplay:
Our biggest and best gamemode, the TrueOG SMP is where it all began. TrueOG's founders were once players on a server called "OG Network"which announced a map reset and a move away from the "AND" gameplay meta. TrueOG revolted by purchasing the Season 1 map and making it our own. We rebuilt Season 1's features from the ground up, fixing long-known bugs, opening up the code to the community, and enhancing the experience wherever possible. The SMP has grown into its own, preserving the incredible history of the Season 1 map while facilitating a unique, yet familiar gameplay experience for our players. The meta is similar to a survival server from 2012, but running on a modern version of minecraft.
OG means more to us than "not being pay-to-win". OG is about building upon what we loved about SMP servers back in the day. A robust item based economy. Competative, fast-paced PvP. Worlds that get richer & more fun to explore as versions go by, giving players a sense of deep time and community. The TrueOG Meta is more "AND" than OG:SMP and more anarchistic than anarchy. Here, you are truly free to play however you want, on a fair playing field. No bots. No hacks. TrueOG includes elements of factions servers from 2011-2013, like an in-game player marketplace, a constructed warzone, a diamond economy, no-click-delay (1.8) combat, and group homes. Raiding, griefing, and PVP is allowed.
A long-requested feature of the Season 1 community, Duels allow you to challenge anyone to a fight without risking your gear, experience, or SMP stats. We have over 8 different arenas and kits to try, which can be spectated by SMP players all over spawn. From Colosseum, our evolution of Season 1's arena, to Blizzard, with a festive winter theme, to Ender. But be careful, those end crystals aren't just for show! If you want to get competitive, you can try and make it to the top of the Duels Leaderboard! See who you're up against using: /duel top
All duels take place using glorious 1.8 PVP, and in beautiful locations around TrueOG SMP's spawn, constructed by our in-house build team. You will be equipped with golden apples, ender pearls, a variety of potions, and weapons/armor according to your kit selections. You can cycle through a random arena, or pick your favorite. You can also duel for Diamonds! Just type a number after your duel request, like: /duel [PLAYER] 10
Minecraft is linked to Discord 1:1, available to all, even without a rank. The server also has a unique translation plugin. No English supremacy here! We welcome you no matter what language you speak. Everyone can communicate with you by clicking on your messages in chat to translate them. Even server broadcasts can be translated. So let me be the first to say Welcome!

Anybody can get involved with TrueOG Network! We can help teach you how to develop plugins. You can also spin up a server very similar to TrueOG using the source code on our GitHub. We publish everything we can as public domain software, and our teams are democratically structured. We are bringing back a principle we feel has been disappearing in the minecraft server community over the years: solidarity. We will never leave superior gameplay behind to chase trends.

Aura Skills – Introduces skills and stats into Minecraft. Such skills include Agility, Excavation, Enchanting, and even Sorcery. Some of the stats include Strength, Regeneration, and Luck.
Acuteloot – This one adds in literally BILLIONS of new and unique items you can find. There's things such as specially named items, items with particle effects, and a few unique ones that add some fun mechanics to the game. You can find Acuteloot items in naturally spawned chests, or you might get lucky while enchanting.
In addition to the usual server accouterments, we also have an active Discord community where players can chat and hang out. Our in-game chat is also linked to the main Discord channel, so even when you aren't at your computer, you can stay connected! Here, you can chat, share builds, post shop ads, and stay up-to-date on all the goodies and news.
