Introduction
Sky Eden is a unique survival vanilla multiplayer server with a mystical steampunk theme to go along with it! We encourage players to play around, build structures straight from your imagination or just talk to the friendly players among the server. We pride ourselves on the community we have built and hope to see you join us!
Server Features
This is a Public Survival Server, but we do use a greylist. That means anyone can join and tour the server but you cannot build unless you apply (READ VERY BOTTOM TO APPLY!) We do this to ensure that our players uphold the values of our community! As for features of the server, we use a unique blend of plugins that allows players to do simples things such as locking chests and doors to keep other players out, access to different warps to make travel in the game easier, the ability to gain ranks by completing quests (more info about this can be found on our website) and much more. Other more exciting features include access to McMMO, the ability to brew your own drinks, make your own player clans, egg various mobs, marry other players, and participate in PvP arena tournaments. We do offer a live map to view the entire world and the players around various maps such as the Nether, the End, and the overworld. The link to our live map can be found in-game or on our website. We also feature our own minigames and SkyWars worlds that anyone can join once they have applied and been approved! It should also be mentioned that we have an anti-grief system. Anyone who disrupts our Minecraft experience will be banned and their actions will be undone, no matter how bad the grief is.
There are other large-scale features and projects on Sky Eden: Dungeons and Aqua Eden. The dungeons are little hack-and-slash adventures set up by the staff team that let you fight mobs, solve puzzles, and earn prizes! Aqua Eden is a minigame/lore world where you uncover the secrets of a flood-ravaged country and the strange machines that caused it. And no, Solarum doesn’t exist.
Social Features
As mentioned previously, we pride ourselves on our community and we all work together, build together, and play together. Our players will welcome anyone that enters our server and our staff are kind and helpful. The server is run by adults and we keep things mature. While we aim to keep the server free from anything that could be considered 18+, swearing is allowed when not aimed at somebody else. We also have a discord server that everyone is welcome to join!
Our Server Rules
1. Be polite and courteous to all. Be friendly and refrain from saying anything rude or offensive. Saying everything in ALL CAPS or just spamming the chat is unwanted and can result in being muted.
2. DO NOT GRIEF! Do NOT destroy or edit other players blocks (Don’t want to be banned? Do not grief!). As a general rule, do not build closer than 100 blocks from someone unless there is consent (cities/towns for example). If using a communally available farm, make sure to replant the crops in the case of wheat and sugarcane, and make sure you don’t take the seedlings for melons/pumpkins. If you have to break in, build over/under to get into a farm then don’t! This will be considered griefing. The concept of griefing also includes hacking, cheating, or other exploits.
3. Offer help and assistance to those that need it. If someone wants assistance in finding materials, try to offer them advice or even items or show them how to acquire them. If anyone asks questions regarding in Sky Eden in general, refer them to our website. If someone asks simple Minecraft questions, be sure to answer if you know the answer! This rule is also considered the “Good manners rule.”
4. Be both resourceful and inquisitive. Avoid asking lots of questions until you have fully read the recruitment post, read our website and checked out the Minecraft wiki. Our website is FULL of information and we have tons of features that require some reading to understand. Need help with getting diamonds or other ores? Research about it. Use the Minecraft wiki! Trying to find a hub or town? Explore for a few minutes first or check our live map. Still struggling? Ask! Avoid making ugly plank/cobble huts. Instead, be creative when building structures. Look up the hundreds of Minecraft creations posted online.
5. Practice good morals and ethics. If someone drops items, pick the items for the players and give it back (no stealing). Be fair in trading items with virtual coins. Like other server, hacks/mods are not allowed. That includes xray texture packs.
6. Report issues to staff members immediately. Your cooperation is always appreciated. If you need some help and staff member are not online at the moment, they can always be reached through our discord server!
7. Follow our rules and guidelines, and have a good time! It’s not fun playing by yourself, ask in-game if anyone wants to have a neighbor to play and build with. Suggest a mining raid and invite everyone. Share your findings. Ask for help finding a city/town to build a home in if you don’t want to go solo. Participate in building projects by helping current ones or starting one yourself.
Failure to follow these rules will result in a mute, kick, or ban depending on the offense.
