SorbMC has been a medium sized server for almost a decade, offering both vanilla, custom and modded minecraft experiences to our player base. Over the years we’ve grown into a laid back community where everyone can feel at home.

Over the last few months we’ve been rebuilding our Minecraft servers from the ground up to form a new chapter in our history: the SorbMC Hub. The Hub aims to bring all of Sorb’s features to one easily accessible network of servers.

Being a Hub, we are able to add many seperate servers to one place! These are some of our servers, some of which being developed as I’m typing this:

SorbMC Vilous

SorbMC Vilous is a custom server based around Slimefun (modded minecraft in vanilla) and TARDIS (a Dr. Who plugin). Slimefun gives Vilous a modpack experience without having to install even a single mod OR sacrificing any performance. TARDIS adds a whole bunch of features straight from Dr. Who, with the main feature of course being a personal TARDIS (its bigger on the inside!). Besides these plugins Vilous also features Towny, MCMMO, playershops and a dynamic economy, but also an enthousiastic community of Dr Who fans!

SorbMC Minigames (Soon to be finished!)

Technically not one server but rather many minigames servers all connected to our hub. A few of our minigames are Hungergames, KitPVP, Bedwars, Prison, Spleef, Blockparty and more!

SorbMC Tekxit (Soon to be finished!)

Tekxit is a mix of Tekkit Classic and Hexxit, combining the tech side of Tekkit with the adventure side of Hexxit. Expect many new features & adventures all ready for you to play on our server.

    Minechasm is a Minecraft server focused on as few rules as possible, where you can do whatever you like in-game. Play free of moderators and admins, use hacked clients, build, grief, explore, play the game to its fullest. We hope to serve as an alternative anarchy experience for those who are tired of other servers or wish to start a fresh, brand new one.

    There are literally no plugins that interfere with the game experience. You won’t even have announcements telling you to vote or whatever. It’s just you and the world.

    The Minechasm map is a default world going to 30 millions blocks out. It is presently only a few days old and about 20 MB in size, and will never be reset. What will it look like in a month? A year? Come online and be the very first to shape its history!

  • SUPPLY & DEMAND ECONOMY. The economy is based around our custom currency, called Monet, and, most importantly, our custom market system which features dynamic prices based on the supply and demand of each resource. This means that when people buy a lot of a particular item, the price will rise, whereas when that item is sold a lot, the price will fall. You can interact with the market through a GUI (using the NPCs at spawn) or through commands.
  • AUCTION HOUSE. For selling items between players, we have a system that lets you auction off items and have other players bid on them.
  • GRIEF PREVENTION. You just need to mark the corners of the area you want to protect with the Land Claim Tool and everything inside it will be protected. You can also grant access to your claim to your friends.
  • PVP TOGGLE. You decide if and when to engage in combat with other players. When your PvP is turned off, other players won’t be able to harm you and you won’t be able to harm them.
  • WORLD EXPANSION QUEST. The world border starts small, but players can expand it by contributing to the goal set by the World Explorer NPC. Be warned though, he drives a pretty hard bargain.
  • BRING YOUR FRIENDS. We have a referral system set up: if you invite your friends to Luigi World, you’ll both get a reward.
  • DISCORD INTEGRATION. You can continue chatting with online players even when you’re not playing, thanks to our Minecraft-Discord integration.

    What kind of server is Refuge?

    We are a Java SMP using the Bloom Hosting platform with admins/owners located in the US and AUS, so there will always be staff around to help! A full list of plugins/vanilla tweaks used is available in Discord. We have a casual player base of very friendly and welcoming avid Minecraft players ranging from age 18 to 35 and located in Australia, the Netherlands, Canada, the UK, and the US. Understanding that everyone has a life outside of gaming, there is no longer a minimum activity requirement. Just come and chill when you like (:

    Following the traits of Hermitcraft season 9, we strive to be a community-orientated server that stays somewhat close together. The idea is that groups are formed so that each time you log in something new is happening on the server, rather than an SMP where everyone is distant and antisocial. We don’t plan much of an economy and prefer to share resources; however, shops are always welcome and we typically do create a shopping district/area.

    A donation page is set up via PayPal for the server to help with costs and go towards future upgrades, with in-game cosmetic gifts for donors (these do not affect the actual gameplay or mechanics). Donations are very much appreciated but in no way required for any activity on the server.

With that said, we are more of a build orientated smp and pretty limited on the technical aspect due to server performance. Our economy is kind of like Hermitcraft, with diamonds as the currency. There is also a shopping district at spawn which is the heart of the server.

    As a community, we're into big, ambitious projects, so you'll find some awesome builds scattered around. We've got a mod pack that adds some fun stuff like voice chat and optimization tweaks. It's optional, though—no pressure.

    Just a few rules: zero tolerance for discrimination or racism!! We like some banter, but let's keep it friendly. And remember, never trust HMitten!

    ZillaSMP is a Western European themed medieval roleplay SMP with kingdoms, naval warfare, tradable currency, and light RPG mechanics. It's almost like an entirely new game inside of Minecraft! (no mods are required to join)
    ZillaSMP is set in a time between King Alfred the Great's death, and the formation of England; just as King Alfred's kingdom of Wessex took its last stand against the vikings. It's not intended to be 100% historically or geographically accurate, it’s meant to serve as a playable “alternate timeline” that is written through player actions and roleplay.
