A SMP for anyone who dares to brave the newest horrors of the Nether update of 1.16! Considering the Ender Dragon has now been beaten, I suppose the server will become something similar to a Hermitcraft-style server, but that’s up to the players.

But seriously, even with full diamond you die a lot. And then you lose those diamonds. This is not for the faint of heart. Finding Blaze Rods just got a whole lot harder.

(At times this can be a bit weird and/or laggy, because the MCProHosting Control Panel at this time does not work, but hopefully by Season 2 that won’t be an issue!)

We now have donator ranks so you can start with enough money for a protected chunk! among other perks!

We strive to make the multiplayer experience as good as we can. We have a very helpful and active admin team that are almost always at hand to help. This server is semi vanilla which means we have tried to keep it as close as we can to vanilla. All that we have added is mychunk, which lets you purchase a 16 x 16 chunk as your own and that chunk will be protected, you can allow other players on these chunks. We have an economy so players can buy basic kits and food at spawn. They can also sell iron, gold, and diamond to make money for a chunk. DarkTerra is an overhauled co-op (PvE) vanilla-like survival experience, with a cursed darkness mechanic that adds peril to the night.

Build fires to avoid being consumed by the darkness when the sun goes down. Bring torches when digging into the deepest regions of the earth, or the shadows will inflict damage upon you. Respawn times are altered by your cause of death – if you die to the curse, you may wait up to 30 minutes before respawning. Slay armies of skeletons at night to obtain echo shards, which protect you from losing your items after you die, or forge golden armor that lights monsters aflame and temporarily defends you from the bleak shadows.

Explore altered worldgen with overhauled structures, biomes, and dungeons. Enjoy a completely modified mob spawning system, with monster spawning patterns that differ from vanilla Minecraft. Most mechanics were written in-house specifically for DarkTerra; you cannot get the same experience on any other server.

DarkTerra has cross-play for both Java edition and Bedrock edition. It supports the latest version of the game on all clients.
