ABOUT: Dire Nights SMP is an 18+ community currently recruiting/seeking new players with any Minecraft experience to join our small group of players and hopefully call the server their new home. Whether you are brand new to Minecraft or a 10 year veteran, this may be the perfect place if you’re seeking a hermitcraft/mindcrack like vanilla experience.
The world was created July 8th 2022 and is still fairly new but many major projects are still being built at spawn while most players help by
pitching in with supplies. We strive to allow players to do whatever they want as long as it is not giving other players a bad time or anything that would be considered cheating. We currently do not have an economy, most players work together as if it was a close knit realm and share resources. Anyone is welcome to start shops or continue to feed into the barter system we have, anything is welcome here.
Our main purpose is to create a Minecraft server/community that strives to create friendships and a positive game play experience for everyone involved. Anything is possible here, if you want to start a guild and recruit players to join? Maybe build a town maybe 200 blocks from spawn
and compete with spawn for its population? We let you do what you want without much interference. TNT dupers and bedrock breakers are allowed but item duplication glitches may be disputed by admins and isn’t advised.
PLUGINS AND INFORMATION: Currently the server is running a Paper Jar with light modifications like Luckyperms and Coreprotect and a few datapacks are installed (anti-enderman griefing, tab afk menu, 1 person sleep). The seed is a secret to ensure new surprises when exploring. This is about as many modifications we want to the vanilla Minecraft experience, we do not wish to overwhelm the player with addons like McMMO or minigame realms, we strive to make the game fun the standard Minecraft way.

Our community is the defining feature of the server. A Scoop of Vanilla has a server culture of being extremely friendly and social. It is not uncommon for members to end up exchanging contact information or adding each other on social media and becoming friends beyond the scope of the game. As far as server operation goes our admin team has taken it upon themselves to host the server at personal cost, not asking for or accepting any donations. Thus, avoiding all donation scheme shenanigans.

The spawn is located in the town of Lost Blocks, a city built by a King. The Castle and surrounding area is under protection from mining and greifing by The Guardians. Join the township of Lost Blocks and earn your own protected land within the world.
If you choose to leave the protected area of Lost Blocks, beyond the crevasse, you will enter The Badlands. a villainous wilderness where greifing and PVP is allowed. The server also has edited mobs. They get more powerful the further you travel from spawn, and the more powerful they are-the better the drops! We have bosses with their own mechanics and drops in the server as well! We currently have four bosses in the server with more on the way!
You can use /home and /spawn to get around on the server. There is also a teleport room for different cities.
With McMMO you can train skills, and train/summon horses as well.
