    We begin our tests in the private server balancing a new mod highlighting “Questing” These balances will take us some time to complete (Balancing items can be tricky and our server owner personally optimizes bulky mods that wouldn’t perform the best normally on slower/older computers (will expand the map in new ways if necessary with increasing player count)

    There is no /sethome or /tps this is to prevent easy map travel and encourage tech gurus and witches who’ve mastered the dark arts to use their creativity to navigate these hurdles *Beds are valuable*

    We have /spawn enabled to give players a hotspot for PvP / Social interaction
    *Not all players want their competition so consider it a crutch! (Only use it if you know how to get out but don’t worry our fresh spawns will have a chance at the action too)*

    DISABLED ITEMS/FEATURES:

  • Slime boots + sling (these combined allow players to travel too fast)
  • Rapier (Deals magic damage and 1 shots players for 0 crafting time)
  • EnderIO Armor/weapons that (allow players to teleport instantly)
  • Staff of traveling (Allows players to teleport instantly)
  • Journeymaps ability to track/view players (Use your eyes)
  • These are removed to bring balance and skill to the game when it comes to PvP

    A Brand New 1.7.10 server that attempts to captivate the best of magic and fantasy mods in a lightweigt bundle.

    We chose this version as it offers some ICONIC magic mods that simply cannot be replaced, like Witchery, Thaum 4, and Botania. We also included MineFantasy II, but gutted some of the more tedious parts of it so it’s pure casual, pure fun.

    This pack puts emphasis on community and accessibility, so lightweight even a Macbook Air from 2015 could run it! Yet so packed full of content, it’d take months to fully complete.

    We hope to see you there on this brand new journey.

    Good morning/evening thaumaturgists in hiding.

    I am proud to announce, after a year in development, the creation of the Thaumcraft Neverhood Community and its associated modpack/server. Not a day has gone by in the panoply of subreddits and many modding communities without sorrow over the passing of Thaumcraft’s prime time. Gone are the days of public and permanent dedicated Thaumcraft servers, spent are those hidden communities, drowned are the decrepit servers and ruins are all that remain of such a golden age of minecraft modding.

    Until now.

    It has been *quite* some time since a dedicated public Thaumcraft server has lifted its flag, and it is with incredible pride that I announce its resurgency. Enter: The Thaumcraft Neverhoods.

    You see, Thaumcraft’s creator, Azanor, spent years recreating over and over Thaumcraft’s wonderful system and engine, and while the particulars changed with each version, the essentials remained the same; Essentia, Marvels, Madness. Being the ultimate magic mod with no easy competition and with a depth to chew on for years alone, Thaumcraft nurtured an addon scene of quality content and magnificently crafted environments that inspired people for decades. But Minecraft changed, over and over, and with each version, Azanor had to work harder and harder, rebuilding from the ground up ad nauseum until finally it was too much, leaving his latest version Thaumcraft 6 unfinished and incomplete from his previous creations. It would then sit there, forever untouched as Azanor retreated to his own personal demiplane. Other teams have attempted to pick up the reigns with his permission, but developer hell, small crafting budgets, and other issues have kept those groups and completion of the translation in limbo for years (though I have nothing but respect for those brave communities and modders that try).

    Therefore, being a general consensus of multiple communities of the fullness and total content/inclusion/addon-scene, this modpack aims to be the **perfect** Thaumcraft experience, within the 1.7.10 version ruleset of Thaumcraft 4. Accompanying Thaumcraft and a number of the highest quality works-together addons, are additional dimensions, each selected for excellence and thoroughness of development. For such a magnificent magical system deserves an equally magnificent set of places to explore and things to do, no?

    What I have here is the beta for such a magnificent endeavor, painfully coded and blood spilt to ensure compatibility with everything. Well, most everything. Sorry Optifine, it was never going to last.

    TECHNOLOGY:

Use a Macerator Machine to double your ores, or try the Mining Lasers to blast a mineshaft open with ease! Of course you will have to power these things with electricity! There are hundreds of technology items and machines to learn to use to enhance your game.

    ALCHEMY:
    Alchemy is the practice of Equivalence Exchange. It’s one of the greatest things to learn, and will be infinitely helpful to you. Every item has a energetic value, and can be transmuted from raw energy. Using alchemy, you can convert items into their raw energy, and then use the obtained energy to get any other item assuming you have collected enough energy (for example: Stone=1, Iron = 256). If you collect 256 stone, you can transmute one iron ingot from it!

    MAGIC:
    Use the forces of the universe to discover your true nature and the nature of the cosmos. Magic is End-Game for balance but VERY fun once you get going. There are multiple magic systems and arts in place. Auromancy is the manipulation of the energy contained in your local area, focusing it to do your bidding. Golemancy is the creation of golems using clay + magic energy, golems perform various tasks and protection for you. Artifice is the practice of creating charmed items using magical energy you have collected. Arcane infusion is the infusion of weapons, armor, and ammo with magic which will enhance the items to your desire.

    ADVENTURE:
    Discover the infinite dimensions on Sanctum Network or create your very own custom dimension to rule over. Of course, creating dimensions costs a lot of electricity to upkeep. However, there are still awesome dimensions free to explore. The Lost Cities is a dimension you will find which contains a world full of abandoned cities, and skyscrapers, full of loot and dangers. The Twilight Forest is a dimension full of magic, you can learn new traits of magic and find magical loot in this dimension, but beware one of the many bosses may total you easily!
