We are the Prism SMP, a vanilla-survival server with a unique way of running things. Rather than having 1 person in charge of everything, like most servers, our SMP elects a president every 2 months. Every member gets a say in who leads it.
The server is light on plugins, with only a few included to help moderate and keep things running smoothly. The gameplay is only affected in small ways.
We have an associated discord server for you to talk to the other members, and potentially make some friends! You can chat to people in-game directly from the discord and vice-versa, to allow easy communication.
To fit with the theme, instead of a long list of rules, we have a constitution. Basically this is just like a terms and conditions, but you don’t have to read it
(by joining you agree to it though).
We also feature a unique way of handling troublemakers. Moderators will arrest the person responsible and question them and gather evidence, if the person responsible isn’t clear, then we will hold a trial to see who is guilty. Everyone will have a chance to defend themselves.
When you join the Discord you will be asked a few questions. Once the mods have read your answers, you’ll be accepted as a new member and after 2 weeks you’ll be a full blown Prism member, a Prismian!

Me and my friends created this server in the image of the 2012 servers we used to play on. PvP and Griefing are allowed so be careful, however you will slowly earn claim blocks and be able to claim a small zone for yourself. We balanced GriefPrevention to only allow a certain amount of claim size at a time so it will be impossible to claim hundreds of thousands of blocks at one time. We have a small economy setup and ChestShop to allow users to create their own shops as-well. You can also set 3 homes to save 3 locations and be able to travel to friends houses. Griefing and looting is strictly not allowed. Towny has a 30k worldborder (+15k to -15k) and is perfect for those after a chilled out server focused on making friends and communities. Players on Towny have access to chest shops and also /jobs in order to make money and generate an economy.
