What is Tales of Acanem?
Tales of Acanem is a light D&D styled Roleplay server taking influences from D&D mechanics and tossing in a few features from the Witcher- while keeping a dark and gritty theme. We’re not a MMORPG, so be prepared to bring forth your creative juices and imagination! We heavily focus on player satisfaction, veering away from any and all Pay-to-Win features whatsoever. We’re here to create beautiful story and get players invested in what we have to offer, while also allowing players to live out their character’s lives to their fullest. Restrictions:
For the safety of our server, we prefer a community with the age of 16+ to prevent potential lawsuits and having to deal with unhappy parents due to the content of our server. Reasons being:

How to Join:
For the safety and quality of our server, we do have a Whitelist in place. But thankfully, our application process isn’t too difficult. Just requires that you read through what you need to know and set up your first character. From there, you’re able to hop on and explore the world! To join, follow this LINK. Novadia is a no plug-in server that is geared towards creating an engaging vanilla Minecraft world with a vibrant community.
The server just recently updated to the 1.16 snapshots and we are currently playing on1.16 Pre-Release 2 with plans to continue updating to every subsequent snapshot and eventually the pre-releases as they become available. Additionally, Novadia features a brand new map with little to no progress by any of our players.
The server is centered around a social PvE dynamic, but PvP is still encouraged and always enabled. We encourage players to live in close proximity to each other, forming towns, and creating alies. There are no ranks on Novadia. All players are treated as equals, and everyone is meant to feel included.

Synopsis
OrcaCreative, as you might imagine, is a creative server. Our focus centers around a building community and we have multiple worlds to facilitate this. This server is not a plot server, plots are only used for contests. WorldEdit is available to all members throughout the creative worlds. In addition, our atmosphere is family-friendly, no rude posting allowed.

- Every now and then, envoys will spawn in No Man's (the area surrounding spawn). These contain very valuable loot to help you on your way through the server, but watch out, as the area is PvP enabled and people actively fight over these!
- Griefing and Raiding
- Ever heard the saying, "What's built, must eventually be destroyed."? We did and we think it's awesome! We do not include any build protection tools on the server, so everything that you build has a chance of being griefedthis means, you must trust your team members, you need to put effort into making sure your base is hidden from the public!
We are not just any server, I personally have put in hours, upon hours of my time making sure the server is well put together, researching on how to make things better and don't just take my word for it, we have many players who've been playing for over 4 years now. Waychest is a custom-built Minecraft experience that extends vanilla survival mode with an emphasis on exploration and building. It is a hybrid of a public multiplayer server and a private Realm. You (and friends) start your Journey on what appears to be a server all to yourself.
But as you explore, you will discover that you are not alone: custom items and blocks will guide you across the world to find what the people who came before you left behind. If you're lucky, you might even run into your cohabitants in person.

Feature Highlights: (Nearly every non-vanilla mechanic was designed and built specifically for this server)
- 🌍 "Journey" System: You and anyone you choose are placed into your own "server"called a Journey, with a random spawn point in one shared survival world. You can even create multiple Journeys — each Journey has its own spawn point, progression through the game, and set of partners sharing the Journey.
- 🎁 Waychests: Special chests that act as beacons, reaching across the world to guide Journeys to find each other, and rewarding everyone who seeks them out. Later, craft and place your own Waychests to guide the next Journey to your builds!
- 🚀 "Waychest Flight" Minigame: Find ingredients to craft an Elytra that starts an in-world flying minigame. The minigame challenges you to pass through a series of rings, ultimately leading to a Waychest built by a stranger.
- 💨 Discovery-based Warps: Fast travel between certain blocks — but you have to find a warp point to unlock it first.
- 🔐 Integrated Region Protection: Waychests that you place create an expandable area of protection for certain blocks and containers.
- ☀️ "Radiance": Skip the night without skipping the night. Since the world is shared, sleeping instead gives a "Radiance" effect that prevents nearby surface mob spawns for the rest of the night.
- 🗺️ Region Maps: Loot maps that generate pre-explored with the surrounding region. Build a map wall without the tedium!
- 🏆 Custom Advancements: Every custom mechanic has an associated advancement. Learn how to progress even if you don't like reading a Wiki.
- 🔑 Trial Chambers: The world was generated in 1.20, but Trial Chambers and other 1.21 content have been added to existing chunks!

About Us
While marked as semi-vanilla, the actual experience is identically vanilla. We just use a few plugins to prevent grief, hook into discord, have a web map, etc.
Elysia is a whitelisted serverwhich is an important filter in making sure everyone you'll meet is friendly, accepting and an overall pleasant addition.
LGBTQ+ Friendly is a core belief of ours, and inclusivity is something we won't compromise on.
16+ Dedicated Players. While in the past we've had some friendly <16s, as the original community grows older and as we've shifted directions (with features like voicechat) a higher age requirement just made sense. It's also provided a much more relaxed vibe and allowed us to host events like a several hour long Minecraft DND night (which we did a few times last season).
With that said though, we have an array of activity and skill levels ranging from casual players to people that clearly must have longer days than I given how incredible some of their projects are.
