I started this server for the 1.16 update to provide a quality server for the community.
This is my vision of a true Minecraft server.
I have played Minecraft since 2011.
I have always had trouble finding my idea of a true Minecraft server.

Grief protection is one thing that destroys the fabric of playing multiplayer.
You may as well just play single player and share pictures of your builds.
I am tired of all the rules.
Find my builds.
Fix my builds.
Share my builds.
Destroy my builds if you hate them.
Build in the chaos
Build a hidden palace far from spawn.

PvP is another thing that I like to have enabled but it doesn’t mean that we have to be at war.
Kill me because of creative reasons.
Let me find creative ways to avoid it.
Let’s be friends?
Or, maybe you are a serial killer. We all have our issues.

The risk of destruction and the potential of chaos is the most exciting aspect of Minecraft multiplayer.
There are plenty of “Anarchy” servers out there, servers that allow anything, including hacking but I’ve had trouble finding a genre of what I would call “Chaos” servers,
servers which allow anarchy but within the bounds of the original game.
As far as I know, this genre of server doesn’t exist, or even have a name.
I like finding more creative ways around the problems that are too often fixed with plugins.
Join me on my quest to have a wild west server with only one rule:
Play Minecraft as the developers have intended.

(Side note: This does not mean that you can be abusive in chat. That’s an interpersonal issue, not a Minecraft issue and will be treated as such.)

Opened two years ago, CraftinMatrix is a factions server that strives to offer the perfect experience to all players for the Minecraft community. We try to make every single experience perfect and we took lots of time to work on it. When Minecraft servers were first created, they were simple beasts. Running few modifications and often not online 24/7 they were built by people who loved Minecraft and loved playing Minecraft. Fast-forward to 2017 and today most of the largest servers are run by companies, with the primary intention of making money. While this is a reasonable ambition, and the funding and input from these servers has helped evolve the server community, they can often sacrifice the fun of players and community for extra income.

We don’t think that’s right.

Argolia is an attempt at making the world of servers more open, free and fun for everyone to play on. Most importantly Argolia is not monetized. Each school term, we run a real-life (for-profit) event series which helps sustain and keep the server competitive, however we ask nothing from our players. There is no in-game rank system for donors – instead everyone gets treated fairly and equally, and there are no ways to gamble or buy item packs using real money. Instead of spending time working on these parts of the server, we can instead work on what people actually enjoy – the game. Our staff team works with the community to help build a server environment that everyone can enjoy, and that focuses on rich and rewarding player experiences.
