ZillaSMP is a Western European themed medieval roleplay SMP with kingdoms, naval warfare, tradable currency, and light RPG mechanics. It's almost like an entirely new game inside of Minecraft! (no mods are required to join)

ZillaSMP is set in a time between King Alfred the Great's death, and the formation of England; just as King Alfred's kingdom of Wessex took its last stand against the vikings. It's not intended to be 100% historically or geographically accurate, it’s meant to serve as a playable “alternate timeline” that is written through player actions and roleplay.

As with any roleplay server, there are many different roles you can choose or be selected for; knight, pirate, viking, lord, liege, etc. There are many kingdoms spread out in ZillaSMP’s 20k by 20k sized map; allowing chances for trade, war, conflict, and negotiations.

    Brennyn Patience

    Brennyn Sabar recently started a new Minecraft world, featuring our custom datapack.

    Our community has been around for over a decade; we currently have 6-8 active members and we're hoping to double that amount.

    We’re seeking dedicated Minecrafters that are interested in playing long-term with a small community, much like Hermitcraft. We're an old-school survival server with a tight-knit community that has a real passion for the game. Check out our website for more info.

    The highlight of our server is Foundation, a one-of-a-kind datapack that adds quality-of-life improvements, dozens of new items, fresh biomes, and three new dimensions. Foundation keeps the things we love about Minecraft while extending the life of the game.

    All of this runs completely server-side, so no special client modifications are required besides the server resource pack, which downloads automatically.

    Documentation is in progress, but in the meantime, a trailer is availableand the developer is *sometimes* around and willing to answer questions.

    We use no major game-changing plugins or alterations beyond Foundation, and we want to maintain the vanilla spirit of the game.

    We just started a new map, so most of our activity is still centered around our spawn town, the great city of Birdplate – it's a long story – and it wouldn't take long for a new player to catch up.

    The server is hosted in New Jersey, using dedicated hardware with great performance. We are running 1.20.6 at the moment but will be updating to 1.21 once the datapack is updated.

    We're running Fabric with the Simple Voice Chat, SquareMap, and No Chat Reports mods.

    Using the voice chat is recommended but not required; the server has a rich and thriving Perpetually Muted community living in a cave down by the river.

    I am the owner and one of the admins. The other admin is KirbAvion. He is responsible for creating the Foundation datapack that the server uses.

    We're also open to anyone looking to produce videos on the server, because right now it's just Kirb and he's sick of being, as he puts it, "the sole conduit between Brennyn Sabar and the outside world."

    Most of the members are aged 21-26, but we are accepting applications from anyone age 18 or older. Basic server rules apply. (No stealing, hacking, bullying, etc..).

    Cobbleton Forever features a suite of plugins, datapacks, and tweaks designed to make the gameplay experience unique and inviting. Some stand-out features can be found listed below.

    Quality of Life Changes

  • Rotten flesh can be turned into leather by cooking it in a furnace, and into brown dye by putting it in a smoker.
  • Stonecutter utility significantly expanded; stonecutters can now perform the same cost-reducing crafting function with blocks crafted from wood and iron.
  • Special delivery: Experience from distant dispatched mobs now zooms directly to the player.
  • Green thumb: Harvesting crops gives a limited amount of experience.
  • Green finger: Crops can be harvested (and instantly replanted) by right-clicking on them.
  • Recall of the void: Totems of Undying now uniquely affect players otherwise damned to the void.
  • Roadrunner: Players move faster on paths.
  • Silence of the lambs: Dropping an echo shard on mobs silences them.
  • Right clicking one of the doors in a set of double doors will open both.
  • Nugget in a wheat stack: Players can use the /finditem command to search nearby chests for elusive items.
  • Unlimited power: Anvils will no longer tell you an item is “Too expensive!” to enchant or repair, instead limiting the max cost to 39 levels.
  • Pressing sneak while on the bottom-rung of a ladder and holding extra ladders will now place another ladder directly underneath you.

    • Custom Items

  • Sickle: Craft a sickle to quickly harvest (and replant) large selections of crops.
  • File: Use a file to modify the joints and connections of blocks that automatically connect with one another (such as walls, fences, glass panes, and stairs).
  • Trowel: Trowels can be crafted and used to place random blocks from the player’s hotbar, allowing for easy and thought-free variability in walls and surfaces.
  • North Compass: A compass that points north rather than toward the world spawn.
  • Slime Bucket: Right clicking a small slime with a bucket will capture the slime in the bucket, allowing for transportation of the slime but also identifying slime chunks (the slime will begin to bounce when in a slime chunk).
  • Pouch: A bundle alternative crafted with rabbit hide and string
  • Backpack: A worn successor to the shulker box.
  • Portal Scrolls: Craftable, limited-use items that allow teleportation to the world spawn point, the player’s bed, lodestones, and previous locations. An inventory replacement for /home, /spawn, and /back commands.
  • XP Bottles: Empty experience bottles allow players to store their experience points and retrieve them later.
  • Netherite Elytra: Gone are the days of sacrificing protection for mobility; upgrade elytra with a netherite ingot to bolster the defenses of your insectoid jetpack.
  • Ancient Tomes: Found throughout the world alongside common loot, Ancient Tomes are the vessels in which Vane’s custom enchantments can be inscribed.

    • Aesthetic Features

  • Over 50,000 decorative heads can be purchased (using in-game materials) by exploring the head database (/hdb in chat).
  • Create instant custom paintings using online images with the ImageFrame plugin.
  • Banners can be hung horizontally like flags from fences, walls, glass panes, iron bars, lightning rods, chains, and bamboo stems.
  • Gardener’s Dream: You can now place more flowers and plants than before into a flower pot or decorated pot by pressing sneak while on top of the pot with your chosen plant in your hand.
  • Better Hanging Signs: Item frames can be used to easily display blocks and items on hanging signs.
  • Armor stands now have arms and poses can be cycled through by powering them on and off.
  • Banners can be equipped by triple pressing the sneak button while holding a banner.

    • New Enchantments

  • Angel: When added to an elytra, allows the player to sneak to accelerate mid-air.
  • Grappling Hook: Allows fishing rods bearing this enchantment to be used to pull the player to distant surfaces.
  • Hell Bent: Prevents damage when a flying player runs into a wall.
  • Leafchopper: When applied to an axe, allows the player to quickly remove leaves from trees.
  • Rake: Allows players to quickly create tilled fields; multiple right clicks on existing farmland tiles create a circle of tilled farmland.
  • Seeding: Similar to the “Rake” enchantment, right-clicking on a seed with a hoe bearing the “Seeding” enchantment will sow nearby farmland with seeds of the same type.
  • Soulbound: Equipment bearing the “Soulbound” enchantment will remain in a player’s inventory after death and cannot be dropped accidentally.
  • Takeoff: Elytra with the “Takeoff” enchantment allow players to take to the skies directly from the ground.
  • Unbreakable: The much-envied cousin of the existing “Unbreaking” enchantment, equipment enchanted with “Unbreaking” will never be destroyed.
  • Wings: The “Wings” enchantment allows players to sneak while flying with elytra for a small boost.

    • Social Features

  • Proximity voice chat allows easy, Discord-free communication with nearby players.
  • Too shy for voice chat? No problem. Chat bubbles that appear over users’ heads prevent text interactions from fading into the background.
  • Take a breather: Crouching and right clicking any stair, slab, or carpet with an open hand allows players to take a seat.
  • If you look straight down and sneak twice, you’ll enter a crawl mode to fit through 1×1 spaces.
  • Players can choose to identify preferred pronouns for display to users scrolling over their name.
  • Custom villager shopkeepers allow for an easy and stress-free in-game trading system.

    Experium SMP

    About Experium SMP:

    The Experium SMP is a whitelisted 1.20 vanilla server (1.21 soon). We recently started a brand new season with a fresh world and we are looking for new players to join us! This server is all about having a fun and dedicated community of players where everyone feels included and actively contributes. So if you're looking to enjoy playing Minecraft on a dedicated SMP, look no further than Experium.

    We expect to update to 1.21 very soon, but are just waiting for a few of our favorite mods/datapacks to be updated first. We already have the new blocks enabled and we have been keeping our builds within a 1500×1500 block area so that we can reset the chunks outside of that once we update to include the new trial chambers (you can still travel outside of this area). So far, we have just enjoying the early game and developing our builds around spawn, and will be going to the end for the first time this weekend.

    This SMP is very much inspired by the Hermitcraft server, as I am a long time fan and am constantly motivated by their community and content. While we aren't trying to replicate Hermitcraft completely, we do play with several iconic features of their server, including several vanilla tweaks datapacks, a clearly defined shopping district, and a big emphasis on community and group events/projects.

    This makes for a great time and encourages members to contribute. But this also requires members to get along with the community, make smart decisions, and play actively. That's why I have created a simple application process that you can fill out by clicking the link at the bottom of this post. Now, here are some of the server details.

    Launched TONIGHT at 8PM EDT! We have launched the 6th Summer Server Edition of the server! In this version, we've been graciously accepted by a lovely Gnomish Town in a lovingly crafted community built spawn. We're a server with plenty to offer! We believe that Minecraft can be political and strategic when other players get involved. So whether you are interested in building grand designs, griefing and PvP, growing an influential clan, running a commercial empire, or even just playing some Minecraft with a regular crowd, you are a part of something bigger than just yourself. Feel free to join the Discord, explore our community built spawn, and talk with the active community to see if you’re interested in playing on the server. And any time you're ready to start – survival is only 50 blocks away. Hope to see you playing on the 'Minelanders soon!

    Vanilla Reimagined

    General Information

    We love the potential of vanilla Minecraft but feel some aspects of the game have not been properly balanced to allow for vanilla to flourish. Through the use plugins and extensive player feedback we have rebalanced villager trading, Elytras, autofarms, and more. No longer is there one "right" way to play, as we have allowed for all sorts of other forms of gameplay to be valid!

    Features

    • We offer plot protection in four sizes for in-game currency. You have to earn them! Note: Plots intentionally do NOT protect chests – only blocks.
    • We have player shop chests available to sell things to other players. Our admin shops are already set up for players to earn money.
    • We have clans, which allow you to team up with existing players or make your own clan with your friends.
    • The map size is limited to keep players relatively close – but it is still spacious with a 6k block diameter. [Note: Currently just 2k across while we wait for Paper to update to 1.21 next week!] The Nether has been increased in size (3:1 ratio rather than 8:1) to compensate for the smaller map.
    • Donations to keep the server running are welcome, but give no in game advantages.

    Rules:

    1. Play in good faith

    2. Be respectful of other players

    3. No asking for stuff, advertising, or being annoying

    4. Griefing is allowed, Lavacasting is not

    5. No cheating

    6. Alt accounts must be known to staff

    7. No releasing personal information about another player

    8. Circumventing intended server behavior is prohibited
