After closing last year due to financial reasons, we realized immediately that if we were ever in the financial position to reopen, we would. And that’s exactly what happened here. We’re back, and better than ever.
Our server is primarily survival. We put a lot of focus in the vanilla survival aspect of the game. We want to make sure that if you want to play only vanilla, no fancy bells and whistles, you can.

The server has at the point of writing just started.
There will be an initial upstart fase in regards to player count. The server is in itself however up and running.
There is no verification or whitelisting.
The only administration of the server will be done to prevent exploits banning players or severely reducing performance.
There are no rules.
The lack of rules creates an interesting dynamic where order rises from chaos, which is what makes anarchy servers an interesting concept.
PlagueMC is a SMP Minecraft community which has been built on the foundations of friends and staff who have come together from other servers to share their creations and experiences.
We don’t believe in editing the base game too much – Nonetheless we have added some enhancement plugins to improve the multiplayer experience. These plugins include but are not limited to; the ability to set home warps, creating trading shops and protecting your land from griefers!
The difficulty of the server is hard mode. Players should be aware of the challenge when joining for the first time, this is to keep the game interesting for veterans and newbies alike, even during end-game.

Factions
In our server you can establish a faction and recruit members. With this faction of yours you can make allies or enemys. If you make allies, your warfare against the enemy will be even easier. Our economy is based on diamonds- diamonds are 1-to-1 with each user’s economy balance and can be used in conjunction with Chest Shops in towns. We plan to eventually use this server to create a community video series similar to those like HermitCraft, Legacy SMP and others but with our own unique twists to keep things interesting. The addition of McMMO allows for a semi-balanced but faster approach at achieving in-game goals without having to spend entire workdays on the server to achieve the same effect. We respect that people have lives outside of Minecraft and that not everyone is earning a living by playing it! 🙂

Here at Gempire Freebuild, your builds are kept safe and youre free to have fun. Right at spawn you have instant access to creative mode.
In order to progress further through the ranks, you need to post your IGN (In game name) on the Minecraft Forums. You also need to pick the type of ranking youd like to do.
We currently offer ranks for:
Building. (Houses, mansions, cities, castles, or anything of that nature.)
Pixel Art. (From 2D pictures to 3D models.)
Terraforming. (Large mountains, lakes, or anything scenic. If you want to be ranked for this with houses of any sort, you need to pick building instead.)
