About Experium SMP:

The Experium SMP is a whitelisted 1.20 vanilla server (1.21 soon). We recently started a brand new season with a fresh world and we are looking for new players to join us! This server is all about having a fun and dedicated community of players where everyone feels included and actively contributes. So if you're looking to enjoy playing Minecraft on a long-term dedicated SMP, look no further than Experium.

We expect to update to 1.21 very soon, but we are currently just waiting on the vanilla tweaks datapacks to be updated first (expected within 1-2 weeks). We already have the new blocks enabled and we have been keeping our builds within a 1500×1500 block area so that we can reset the chunks outside of that once we update to include the new trial chambers (you can still travel outside of this area). So far, we have just been enjoying the early game and developing our builds around spawn, and just went to the end last week.

This SMP is very much inspired by the Hermitcraft server, as I am a long time fan and am constantly motivated by their community and content. While we aren't trying to replicate Hermitcraft completely, we do play with several iconic features of their server, including several vanilla tweaks datapacks, a clearly defined shopping district, and a big emphasis on community and group events/projects.

This makes for a great time and encourages members to contribute. But this also requires members to get along with the community, make smart decisions, and play actively. Player Economy – Our economy is entirely player driven! Shops on the server set prices for goods and services without any intervention, this leads to a very organic economy where you can carve out your own niche. The only admin shops on the server can be found in our mall /warp mall. These shops sell custom furniture blocks like tables and chairs to decorate your base!

Custom Enchantments – Our server features over 200 unique enchantments to build your playstyle the way you want! All enchants are achieved through normal gameplay mechanics.

Craftable Gear – You can craft tons of unique custom armor sets, tools, and talismans to become more powerful or add unique abilities.

Custom Resources – We have resource worlds which reset on the first of each month! Here you can find custom ores and plants which can be used for decoration or can be used to craft some our custom gear!

Custom Fishing – We just released our very own custom fishing system with 170 custom fish to catch! As you catch new fish species you'll unlock them in your "fishdex" which provides information about the fish to share with others in the community who haven't yet caught that species. Vanilla Reimagined

General Information We love the potential of vanilla Minecraft but feel some aspects of the game have not been properly balanced to allow for vanilla to flourish. Through the use plugins and extensive player feedback we have rebalanced Elytras, autofarms, and more. No longer is there one "right" way to play, as we have allowed for all sorts of other forms of gameplay to be valid!

Features

We offer plot protection in four sizes for in-game currency. You have to earn them! Note: Plots intentionally do NOT protect chests – only blocks.
We have player shop chests available to sell things to other players. Our admin shops are already set up for players to earn money.
We have clans, which allow you to team up with existing players or make your own clan with your friends.
The map size is limited to keep players relatively close – but it is still spacious with a 6k block diameter, which was just expanded with the release of 1.21 . The Nether has been increased in size (3:1 ratio rather than 8:1) to compensate for the smaller map.
Donations to keep the server running are welcome, but give no in game advantages.
