Emperium is a Skyblock server created in the hopes that the community is the building block of the server. We aren’t focusing on a custom core and incredible new features. We just want to bring back what Minecraft used to have: a friendly community that you could enjoy playing with.
Minecraft servers are bloated and ruin the fundamental gameplay mechanics of the core game. Our main server, abbreviated as OSMC, stands for Oldschool Minecraft. OSMC gives you a nostalgic experience for you to reminiscence the past. The only server mechanics added for quality of life purposes are chest, furnaces, and door protections. We want you to enjoy the game without drastically game-changing features. Every player will always be equal, and every player must survive the harsh elements of the world. The usual internet rules apply, with no abuse or harassment permitted – we’re not an anarchy server (though be on the lookout for one soon on Bedrock.)
It started initially in February 2014 as a sister community to r/teenagers, with the modern history of the community developing since February 2018.
