TownyIO is a friendly survival server that sets the bar for server quality standards. TownyIO is hosted on a state-of-the-art Amazon EC2 instance to ensure that the server never expiriences lag. With all these huge networks popping up, were a rising community that stays true to its roots: pure coorperative survival.
TownyIO is home to a unique combination of plugins that ensure each players experience can be as awesome as possible. We run Towny to allow players to create anything from small villages to massive cities with their friends and have everything be protected from griefing. We run Shopkeepers to allow you to use Rare Gems you earn from voting and playing to trade with villagers around the spawn town for nearly anything you could imagine. We use Essentials to provide core functionality commands. We also run GlobalMarket, a plugin which allows any player to put anything they want up for sale in the marketplace for other players to buy along with a ton of other plugins to ensure the highest quality gaming experience.
TownyIO has a very powerful and stable economy. Thats because its controlled by the players. The server does not set the price of ANY in-game item and instead relies on a powerful and open market to ensure a stable economy. Money enters circulation through voting allowances and server donations and exits the economy through market tax and town upkeep. The population of the spawn city sells virtually anything for Rare Gems, which in turn have their monetary value defined by the playerbase.
