It’s a server that tries to be as close to the vanilla experience as possible. It’s where you can simply play the original game without any of the drastically game-changing plugins or features that you would usually find elsewhere on most servers. This means the server does not have teleport commands (/tp, /home, /spawn), economy, skill systems, ranks, etc. Every player will always be equal.
There is a custom plugin written for the server for a basic level of protection called Groups, but otherwise gameplay is as close to vanilla as possible. You can build, craft, mine, explore, kill, grief and do anything else you want that’s possible in Minecraft; there are no gameplay-related rules. The usual no-hacking, no-racism and no-abuse rules are in place to make sure the server provides a fun and friendly experience for everyone.

Server Rules:
No matter who you are or what you enjoy doing, there’s always projects to work on. Currently we’re working on building our Nether Hub, remodeling the End island, building various community farms, and creating a proper town at server spawn with a museum, court house, and many other projects.
Active Discord Chat and VC:
Our Discord is active almost 24/7. Joining the voice call is not required but highly encouraged and adds a ton to the server experience. We’re a friendly bunch and always open to meeting new people.

Democracy:
Almost all decisions pertaining to the server are left to a vote. Map resets, staff appointments, rule changes, etc, are all left to a vote. Feedback is always welcome and sincere feedback is taken seriously.
Free Speech:
You will not be punished for having an opinion or making a joke. Criticizing staff, the server, or others and voicing your opinion is allowed and encouraged. We don’t take things personally, provided you’re not actively causing problems. We also have a plugin dedicated to removing cryptographic signatures from players chat messages, effectively making the chat-reporting system useless on both servers.
Creative Server:
Enjoy creating Prototype builds, redstone builds with full access to game-mode commands, WorldEdit commands and more on our creative server! Build Battles and other competitions are hosted regularly as well.
Vanilla Experience:
The server runs with Minimal plugins. We use CoreProtect to mitigate griefing and theft, and a few plugins to manage lag and facilitate server management. (Nothing that will break your farms.) There’s no land claims, economy plugins, or teleports. There are Warps you may use (./warp [cardinal direction] to access the new land with the deep dark items. We also have the RealisticSeasons plugin to add some variety, but this can easily be disabled by the player.
Competent Staff:
All Staff members are over 18, Experienced, generally friendly and active in Discord VC. Mods and admins do not power trip and will be promptly removed from the staff team if they do. If you have any problems, we will solve them quickly and completely.
No P2W:
There’s no donation roles, buyable cosmetics, or microtransactions. You will never be solicited for money and categorically do not accept donations of any kind. You are welcome to boost our discord server, but the point of this server is to have fun, build and make friends, not to be profitable.

Hi there! Welcome to my server! Here you can find some of the basics of Minecraft like survival PVP (player vs player) and even survival PVE (player vs enemy)! We also offer creative mode in a flat world that allows players to release their imagination with no limitations! Need something different? We offer SkyBlock and Parkour! Survival PVP (Player VS Player) is just normal Minecraft on the normal difficulty with Towny!
Survival PVE (Player VS Enemy) is also just normal Minecraft on the easy difficulty with Towny as well!
SkyBlock is the servers first ever minigame added to the server! Create your own island in the void world by doing the (/island) command. A GUI will appear with many options you can access for your island. SkyBlock is a harder way of survival where you have to survival on an island and expand to become the biggest sky city!
The newest minigame added to the server is parkour! Jump around and try to avoid falling into the void or death block, make it to the end and get rewards like in-game currency, blocks, or even items like diamonds!!!! You can access the parkour lobby by doing the /pa lobby and clicking the join signs of the courses you would like to beat!
What is towny? Towny is basically another land claiming plugin to allow players to claim land and build their own town and expand to cities and even nations! Towny will protect your land from other players from stealing and destroying your creations. You have full control over your town by inviting other player to your town and charging them plot taxes and just so much more! Towny is only available on survival worlds like survival pvp and survival pve. To get started creating your own town, just use the (/t create )!
There are bunch of ways players can make money on the server. A player can get a job or even create their own shop! Creating shops is extremely easy and safe! After creating your own building or creation shop, just follow these steps and you’ll have your very own shop in no time!
4. After creating the sign, and with the Redstone dust in your hand, left click the chest first, then left click the sign. This will link the chest with the sign. However many items or block you placed in the chest is how much the player will get when purchasing from your store. For example; if you placed 10 oak logs within the chest and charging 10, the played will be charged $10 and receive 10 oak logs. After linking the chest with the sign you can then add more oak logs into the chest, this will not change how many the player will get after purchasing.
Everyone enjoys a rank on the server, to broadcast their power over the server. With That Houchens Server ranking system, we allow players to to buy ranks with in-game currency. Since That Houchens Server is fairly new, we do not offer many ranks but expect to add more in the future with even more fun commands to do! Below will be a list of ranks that players have access to buy with in-game currency!
As I said, not many buyable ranks just yet! But more will soon to come! Moderators and Administrator ranks can be applied for when the time comes! Announcements will be made when applications are open!

We’re aware that when using the Nether portal that your inventory does not stay, we attempted to disable the Nether until this issue is fixed, however, even after disabling the Nether and the End worlds, players are still able to access these worlds and even the default server world ‘world’, if you do travel to these worlds, be aware your inventories will not transfer and all items and blocks will not be saved when returning to your home world. Thank you all for your patience and we try to resolve this issue.
PVP is a key part of the server and combat logging is blocked by a 30 second timer upon being damaged by another player. If a player does not wish to engage in any form of PVP then players are encouraged to set up a secure town and claim all of your items and make sure town PVP is toggled off.
ChosenCraft SMP Server Rules/Info:
PvP is enabled in all areas besides spawn (players can decide whether PvP is on or not within their own towns)
No hacking, Cheating, Exploiting, or any form of 3rd party support besides things like optifine, minimap, etc. These are more serious offenses which will result in permabans.
No hate speech, Spamming, or any violent language that would be against Minecraft/Mojang TOS. Minor cursing/banter is fine as long as it doesn’t become overwhelming in chat, this is up to mods discretion.
No advertising
No griefing other player-made structures. Looting & Theft is okay but it must be unprotected This is to encourage more building from new players and improve the overall aesthetic & community of the server. (There are townywar plugins that will be used as a substitute for this that regenerate bases after war)
No Lag Machines or AFK Machines. Auto Farms need to be approved by a mod and will only be approved if they aren’t an exploit and cause minimal lag, Standard mob grinders are all okay as long as they are cleared regularly.
No BAN EVADING.

This server has dropheads! ALL mobs in the game drop heads (less than 1% chance for most mobs & player heads have a 2% chance of dropping)
Consequences for rule breaking:
The repercussions for breaking the rules depend on the rule broken and the conditions under which they are broken. Hate speech or Cheating will result in an instant ban, if done again it is a permaban. Less serious chat offenses will be handled with a player being muted.
The difference between misunderstandings and intentional malice is made very obvious in the server logs. Bad faith arguments will most likely be ignored.
In cases where it is less obvious, a decision will be made by the moderators as a group. All rules are also subject to this method. If a moderator is waiting on feedback from the others and they have reason to be concerned about the server while offending party is online, they may temp ban the offender with the reason: “Temp-ban: pending investigation”
Repercussions for breaking minor rules generally will follow this pattern: kick, temp ban, temp ban, permaban. Ban appeals can be submitted to the discord and will be addressed by a discord moderator.

Lords Of Soot is a 1.12.2, modded Nation-style server. In terms of structure, we are similar to other Nations/Semi-Anarchy servers; where most rules are decided and enforced by player-run nations, as opposed to admins. However, our formula is changed somewhat by centering ourselves around a worn down, late-20th-century era theme, and being based around a custom-built modpack, featuring, but not limited to, Techguns, Immersive Railroading, Immersive Engineering, Immersive Vehicles, and Ancient Warfare 2.
Currently, Lords of Soot contains 6 player-run nations; featuring gigantic player-built-and-ran Railways, Harbors, Airports, industries and Cities, all on a 16x16km hand-made custom map, with player-led economies, wars, and diplomacy.
