Our Community:

  • Meet new people, make new friends. Our community is kind and accepting and our players are outgoing and easy to talk to. Hop in and say hello!
  • Our Discord server isn’t littered with unnecessary, excessive bots, roles, or channels. We keep things simple and fun. The voice chat is active nightly and the vibe is chill. We host movie nights and other events semi-regularly, so there’s always something to do!
  • Our community values free speech, you will never be reprimanded for having an opinion, making a joke, or anything like that. So long as you respect the Discord TOS and our community guidelines, you can say whatever you’d like.
  • Block Bodega is primarily composed of USA, CA, and EU players. The server is hosted in North America (Toronto), and peak hours are typically afternoon/night EST. The server is relatively small, and the server hardware is robust, so lag is minimal.

    • Server Features:

  • Not a fan of Mojang’s player reporting? Neither are we. We’ve installed plugins to disable player reporting for all messages sent on our server.
  • Our economy is 100% vanilla — the most common currency is diamond, our market is free, and all the shops are player-made. Head to our Shopping District and get rich or die trying.
  • We like to keep things simple. There aren’t excessive roles, obnoxious prefixes, and technicolor nicknames; you will never be solicited for donations, and there is absolutely no pay-to-win, buyable cosmetics, or any of that malarkey.
  • Land claiming and rollback plugins make vandalism virtually impossible. Our staff members are responsive and helpful — if you have any issues with griefing or theft, let a staff-member know and we’ll get it fixed promptly.
  • Work together on fun projects! When you’re not building a base or fighting the dragon, stop by and lend a hand to whichever community project that strikes your fancy!
  • Sick of playing survival? We also have a creative server (with access to WorldEdit) available for anyone in our Discord!

  • We’re making an official server cookbook in the Discord. If you have any recipes you’d like to share, drop them in our recipes channel!
  • The server is woman-owned! Any and all genders are welcome, though!

    We’re a community that focuses on building and socializing. Large collaborative builds are the backbone of this server. Our discord is active, diverse and fun.     Server Rules:

  • Griefing and theft are forbidden. CoreProtect is used to enforce this.
  • Hacks, Xray, and glitches are forbidden. TNT, Carpet and Rail Duping are permitted.
  • Spam and excessive self promo in the Discord are forbidden. This includes Mic Spam.
  • Discord TOS Violations will result in a ban from our discord.
  • Employ basic social etiquette in the VC
    • Community Projects:

    No matter who you are or what you enjoy doing, there’s always projects to work on. Currently we’re working on building our Nether Hub, remodeling the End island, building various community farms, and creating a proper town at server spawn with a museum, court house, and many other projects.

    Active Discord Chat and VC:

    Our Discord is active almost 24/7. Joining the voice call is not required but highly encouraged and adds a ton to the server experience. We’re a friendly bunch and always open to meeting new people.

    Diverse Community:

    We have players from the US, UK, Central America, etc. Everyone is treated equally(for better or worse) and nobody will care what you Identify as or why you are attracted to.

    Democracy:

    Almost all decisions pertaining to the server are left to a vote. Map resets, staff appointments, rule changes, etc, are all left to a vote. Feedback is always welcome and sincere feedback is taken seriously.

    Free Speech:

    You will not be punished for having an opinion or making a joke. Criticizing staff, the server, or others and voicing your opinion is allowed and encouraged. We don’t take things personally, provided you’re not actively causing problems. We also have a plugin dedicated to removing cryptographic signatures from players chat messages, effectively making the chat-reporting system useless on both servers.

    Creative Server:

    Enjoy creating Prototype builds, redstone builds with full access to game-mode commands, WorldEdit commands and more on our creative server! Build Battles and other competitions are hosted regularly as well.

    Vanilla Experience:

    The server runs with Minimal plugins. We use CoreProtect to mitigate griefing and theft, and a few plugins to manage lag and facilitate server management. (Nothing that will break your farms.) There’s no land claims, economy plugins, or teleports. There are Warps you may use (./warp [​cardinal direction] to access the new land with the deep dark items. We also have the RealisticSeasons plugin to add some variety, but this can easily be disabled by the player.

    Competent Staff:

    All Staff members are over 18, Experienced, generally friendly and active in Discord VC. Mods and admins do not power trip and will be promptly removed from the staff team if they do. If you have any problems, we will solve them quickly and completely.

    No P2W:

    There’s no donation roles, buyable cosmetics, or microtransactions. You will never be solicited for money and categorically do not accept donations of any kind. You are welcome to boost our discord server, but the point of this server is to have fun, build and make friends, not to be profitable.

    A server where you can play survival with friends. On the server you can survive in survival mode with friends. You can fight with and against other players. You loot other players' bases, so you should hide your base well! Or you are peaceful and don't want war, then trade with players! Exchange items for in-game money. You can use the money to buy or sell things in the marketplace. At spawn there is a public Nether portal, as well as an enchantment table that is accessible to everyone. At spawn there is an auction house where you can sell items you don't need or buy items you do need. If you're new, you get a starter kit, there are things that are good to get you started. You get a starting balance of 50 Emeralds = $500.
    You can exchange the Emeralds for $ 1 Emerald = $10. There are still chest openings where you can pull a good item from different chests. At the spawn there is an event area that you can reach through a fountain where events will take place. There is a lot to discover around the spawn. There are sometimes drop events in the event room. When you come to the server you should know the commands such as /sethome (name), /home (name),/spawn etc. You can only set 1 home at first, but you can pull 3 homes from the ultimate box to get 3 homes. You can only open boxes with a key. There are “Normal Key, Epic Key, Legendary Key and Ultimate Key. The L Key can only be taken from the Epic Chest and the U Key from the
    L box. The other keys can be purchased at the marketplace with in-game money.
