Short Summary:
We’re looking for active players who are searching for a place to build. Either alone or together with friends. People who are friendly, and willing to be part of a community that is open, welcoming, and trusting.
Our server tries to be as close to Vanilla as possible, but we still have a few things that alter gameplay slightly. For example, we have /spawn.
Check out what we offer below, and join our server to meet us. We look forward to having you play with us!

Our server offers:
Hard difficulty. No walk in the park here. We like a challenge and as such the monsters deal maximum damage and you can starve to death if no food is acquired.
No issues building with your friends. Builds aren’t protected, as we believe in trusting each other. Grief will of course be rolled back and the guilty player will be banned. Pranks and presents are allowed, as long as they’re not malicious.
Mature, helpful, and fun Staff. The staff is fair and respectful to all players, but we also play a prank every now and then to keep things light.

Rules:
You must be at least 16 years old to join. Griefing other players is not allowed. Hacking, xraying, or otherwise cheating in the game is not allowed. Don’t intentionally cause drama or provoke people. No building within 200 blocks of spawn.

About our Server:
The AbyssMC is a semi-vanilla server which is focused on trust within our own community. We do not have any claims plugin, or chest protection plugins, or even a whitelist or a greylist instead, we rely on the communitys ability to work together in order to create buildings and towns simply not possible in single player.

Our Plugins:
We strive for simplicity and to maintain the vanilla feeling, while keeping managing a multiplayer server possible. Here, you will find our five plugins and our reasons for using them. None of them directly affect a players gameplay.

Coreprotect: Gives admins the ability to roll back any grief or theft that occurs, and to trace the source.
PermissionsEX: Makes managing roles and commands easier, mainly for admins.
ChatFormatter: Formats the chat in a different way.
Dynmap: A fun plugin that allows for players to view other builds that have been created and to find areas that are still open to be built in.
ProtocolSupport: Allows for 1.8-1.12.2 clients to connect to the 1.12.2 server.

Rules:
1. Be mindful of spawn on other players when building. Keep spawn open for trade and signs.
2. Be respectful in chat.
3. PvP should be agreed upon by both players before occurring.
4. Do not grief or steal, all containers are private unless marked public.
5. No cheating, this includes x-ray, flying, exploits, or any other mod that affects gameplay. If you are unsure about a mod being allowed, ask a staff member.

1.12.2 Gameplay and world generation, elytras, shulkers, and end cities have been untouched, as well as other new features.

**Server Rules**

We only have a few rules here that apply server-wide. Follow them and you will not be banned.

1.Respect public and private builds, spaces and boundaries

* No griefing, no altering of other player’s builds without consent. Respect builds and boundaries of spawn, nether hub and public tunnels.
* Repair damage caused by mobs
* No PvP unless agreed upon

2.Do not cheat

* Don’t try to get ahead of other players by cheating. No X-RAY, duping, flying, etc.
Some mods for enhancing gameplay are allowed, ask staff about them.

3.Do not steal

* Don’t take anything from other players without permission. All chests are private unless marked otherwise. Be sure to pay for what you buy!

**About us**

We are a community that has been playing Minecraft together for nearly 3 years at this point.

* 24CarrotCraft Season 1 started December 15 2015.

* 24CarrotCraft Season 2 started December 15, 2016.

* 24CarrotCraft Season 3 started August 12, 2017.

* 24CarrotCraft Season 4 started September 1st 2018.

* 24CarrotCraft Season 4 started September 1st 2019.

**We will not have another reset until either no one is still playing on the map or we are forced to because of another update that changes biomes.**

We strive for an experience as close to Vanilla Survival as Minecraft will allow in multi-player. All installed plugins serve an administrative purpose. No plugins have been installed in order to limit or enhance gameplay. We use Coreprotect and Prism for logging block and chest transactions, this will help guard you against unwanted theft and griefing.

The average age on the server is around 21. We usually have about 20 members online at any given time but have peaked as high as 135. Our server runs a greylist so feel free to drop in and check us out. There is no pressure at all, spend as much time as you’d like looking around and chatting with the community.
