Key Features

KeyCraft offers an extensive and immersive Questing experience. All quests are hand written and developed by our Staff team to truly combine the gameplay and lore into a seamless lore-compliant experience for both you and your character. All of our Quests are a part of your characters story, so you are more than welcome to claim all of the things you do as a part of your In-Character journey!

Roleplay is a large portion of our server, and when you spawn inside New Ivyport you’ll be met with a plethora of helpful NPC’s and staff to assist you in starting. We have a proximity based chat plugin that allows you to roleplay with those around you without disrupting general chat, as well as a Race and Dice rolling plugin to truly immerse yourself in the world. Everything you do in gameplay can be considered roleplay, and your experience in KeyCraft will be quite casual, so there’s no problem with being a first-time roleplayer!

KeyCraft has a Wiki that will explain how roleplay, questing, and the lore of our server works! It will also assist you in learning about the world around you, though there is no pressure to memorize the Wiki before you begin playing! Any questions you may have can also be answered in our Community Discord which has over 300 members currently!

How does KeyCraft differ from other servers?

We’re so glad you asked! While KeyCraft is not the first of it’s kind, we do pride ourselves on how seamlessly we managed to combine all of our features into a truly one of a kind experience. Some servers like to separate their survival, questing, and roleplay aspects into different worlds and canons, but on KeyCraft everything is together! Your quests, your Homes, and all of your resource gatherings all exist on the same world! Our main priority in Harvest SMP is the community. Everyone who is a part of Harvest SMP is encouraged to participate in community events and contribute to community builds. We want to have a very relaxed and laid back feel to the SMP. Our goal for this season, unlike previous seasons, is to have a long term world. In the past we have had seasons last a little less than a year before a reset. This time, we want this season to last for as long as possible.

Our most noticeable features are those which give us a Hermitcraft-like experience. A variety of datapacks, mods(optional), and resourcepacks have been put together to give us a close enough to vanilla experience. We also have implemented Anti-cheat mods to ensure everyone is having a fair and equal experience.

Mods we use currently are Elytra Trims, Simple Voice Chat, AudioPlayer, Dynmap, HeadIndex, and some Admin Mods so we can keep your items safe! All mods are serverside and optional! Though we have mods, most of these are for quality of life, and for custom textures.

We now use custom models! These, like our mods, are completely optional. Currently they are used for rewards in all kinds of events and challenges we plan on having.

We have a shopping district with a diamond based economy as well as a minigame district where we can all hangout and have fun.

Whitelist. We have set up an application process in our discord that all players need to fill out before joining, In general this is so we know you actually want to play and will make a good fit for the community. Remember, this is an 18+ server. While we will not ask you to verify your age, we will trust you are telling the truth.

Smooth and Secure Gameplay

Our server runs on a custom fork of Paper highly-optimized for a stable and redstone friendlylag-free experience. We use moderation plugins to prevent griefing and cheating, with inventory restoration and rollback features to fix any issues that might arise.
(Nobody has ever lost progress permanently, the system works really well)
Chat reporting is also disabled for a more relaxed atmosphere. (The chat is still actively moderated by staff members.)

For technical players

Our custom Paper fork has reverted many of the technical changes from Paper to make it more like vanilla, pretty much every build should work even though the server runs on Paper.
We allow the usage of Litematica and support accurate block placement for easier easy place building.

This is a 1.20.1 and updating server, with an emphasis on fair moderation (appeals, and punishment only for true rulebreaks), extreme longevity (absolutely NO resets since May 2022) and inclusivity of all people and playstyles. GREAT PERFORMANCE!

Our vanilla+ modpack with many optimisers ensures minimal client-side lag. Server-side, we have 16 gigs of ram + a Ryzen 9 7950x CPU.

The server operates on a Safezone-Borderlands system, where a continuously expanding 4k-radius area centred on spawn has claims, graves and disallows (unless with consent) griefing, killing and stealing. The Borderlands is much more resource-rich but allows griefing, killing and stealing and has no claims or graves.

THE ORIGINS MOD!

We have a very special mod, the Origins mod! Along with the 9 base origins, we have roughly 61 custom origins, all carefully reviewed so that we can make sure each one is balanced, unique and well designed! You can even suggest custom origins, but it'll have to be high quality. Of course, if you don't like this mod, or don't like your current origin, you can always pick Human or use your free three changes/craft an origin change.
