Hello stranger, I’m Fox, the owner of Sphinx, and I have been so for around 4 years now.

Sphinx was recently mass griefed, and we’re now getting her back on her feet.
If you wish to be a part of this new chapter you’re incredibly welcome, the server is filled with amazing strong-minded different people and I’m sure you can find your place here.

Here’s a bit of information about the server so you can judge if it is something for you:

– the player base is majorly between 15- and 20 years old, we do not accept anyone below the age of 13.

– the server uses a voice-chat mod (proximity-voice-chat) to make communication fluent between members and keep it lively.

– the server had 2000 members but does now have 200, caused by the griefing of the discord (mass banning by admins)

– We have the mod called “Origins” but other than that we’re close to vanilla, this means we do not have mods like Claims

– As for the origins on the server, we have 20 of them, all tested to keep within the same style and make sure nothing is too OP.

– The rules allow a lot of fighting before staff intervenes, as the server is meant to appeal both to those who do and don’t enjoy pvp.

Hello there stranger! I’m Fox, and I’m one of the two owners of SphinxSMP. If you join our server you’ll end up in “#waiting-room”, where you might have to wait for a little. You’ll be asked four questions by a staff member;

1.) How old are you?

2.) Are you comfortable with voice chatting?

3.) Have you been banned from an SMP?

4.) This is a lore server, you’ll need to read the lore, will you do so?

After that, you’ll be sent to the channel called: “#Guide-book” this channel will just tell you where to put your name to be whitelisted and a few other essentials.

This is like normal Survival Factions but with a twist, the server is highly dayZ based meaning zombies will spawn more frequently, you can use guns to kill mobs and players and you can use backpacks to store items. Building bases is essential as you will need to survive. Raiding other members bases with things such as C4 will help your grow your faction. We are hoping to soon implement a thirst, better hunger and bandage system to add to the experience. A texture pack is currently being worked on to make it look like real dayz to add to the atmosphere of the server, we advise players not to use their own texture pack as they may get confused on certain items.

We’re a Pixelmon theme server now running Pixelmon Reforged a fork of the original pixelmon mod, we offer a lag free enviroment (by this we refer to server tps not client side fps lag, if you install pixelmon or one of out technic modpacks make sure to increase your ram to atleast 2 else it will cause your game to freeze every 10 seconds and will be unplayable), we also offer custom sidemods other servers don’t which include Lures, Pokemon boosters which boosts legendary and shiny spawn rates, Pixelmon Auras spawning wildly for you to catch, we also offer a custom daycare, pokestops, gts, wonder trade and more coming soon!

MetroBuild is a 1.12.2 Modpack with 256 mods to gives players the most variety to what they would like to do, we have a wide variety of plugins installed on our server as well to offer the best possible playing experience.

The servers general theme is PVE Economy, with a Towny claim system. This means you have options like trade/sales with others or selling at the admin shop, keep in mind your towny claim costs to make and will be taxed upon its size.
