Hi there! My name is Brownie and I am an admin for a under-development Minecraft Roleplay Server (MCRP) called The Chronicles of Arvandor!

So, with all that said! We’re looking for new staff members! This includes the following roles:

📊 Product managers: You will be in charge of managing the backlog of an engineering team, figuring out the most urgent needs of players, and making sure we’re working on the most valuable new features. You will be the go-between for players and the engineering team(s). You will verify your assumptions by gathering statistics on how players use features.

👩🏿‍💻 Engineers: You will be in charge of developing new features, whether as part of plugins, or as part of the website. You have skills in one or more of Java, Kotlin, Typescript and React.JS. You will have the opportunity to work with other skilled developers and boost your skills, and to shape the details of how new features work with a product squad.

🖌️ Designers: You will shape the way players interact with our roleplay experience, including on the Minecraft server and through the web. You might have skills with Figma, or perhaps you have a strong grasp on what you can do with modern Minecraft from playing on cutting-edge minigames servers or similar.

👷🏻‍♀️ Builders: You will be responsible for the construction of beautiful new parts of the world for players to play in, including main cities pre-launch and new, story-relevant areas post-launch. You have a keen eye for detail, and will set the bar for quality for player-made builds before we include them in the world. Here’s a sneak peek of what our current build team has made:

✒️ Writers: You will author the story and lore of the world. You might be an experienced fanfiction writer, an avid reader with a taste for high fantasy, or perhaps a practiced live-action roleplayer.

🎲 Dungeon Masters: As someone with an in-depth knowledge of D&D, or possibly a keen desire to learn, you will bring the world to life by playing a wide foray of characters and creatures, engaging players in the world.

💬 Moderators: You’re an expert in de-escalation, and you thrive in tense situations. You have a keen sense of justice and a selflessness in your approach. You have thick skin and are able to deal with difficult topics in a detached manner.

👭🏽 Player Relations: You are amiable and friendly, and good at creating welcoming spaces for new and old players alike. You are an impartial contact for players to talk to, and have strong communicative skills, raising relevant issues to the correct staff teams.

📈 Marketing: You want to see the server grow, and have the skills to do it. You have a good idea of what a marketing funnel is, and are tuned into social media trends. You might have some video editing experience, and know what makes a roleplay server exciting.

Staff members must:
🧓🏻 Be over 16 years of age
🕗 Be able to dedicate a consistent amount of time (it doesn’t have to be a lot, but we like to know what we can expect from you.)
🗺️ Be on board with creating a world for other players. Being a staff member means your time will be spent bettering the experience of others far more than building your own.
🎙️ Ideally be able to speak in voice. This tends to ease communication between staff members, but we appreciate there are circumstances where this isn’t possible (e.g. you are mute or desire anonymity) – this will be dealt with on a case by case basis.

Two hundred years have passed since the cataclysm which became known as “The Freeze”. A globe-spanning war for succession and resources turned the planet of Euvania into an inhospitable, lifeless rock. The Imperial Bastion rules with an iron fist and military might, and holds the last remaining city on the planet, built inside of a walking fortress. Tekecraft is a fun and friendly community driven server that has just been recently rebuilt to make even better. Tekecraft is built by the players for the players. We often host competitions and other fun games to keep the server fun. We strongly believe that every single player has helped make Tekecraft what it is today.

We have anti-griefing and anti-cheat plugins installed as well as multiple fun and gaming plugins such as spleef and mob arena.

How do I choose a kit?

When in-game, simply type “/kit“ or “/kit kitname”. You can see in the menu which kits you are able to use. We have a weekly free kit rotation of three kits. In the kit menu you can also redeem kit vouchers.

What do I get for kills, winning, participating?

You will build up a profile which can be viewed here on the website. You will also earn tokens which can be used to open chests that contain several goodies. If you get to the top 5 you will get 0.50 tokens per player in the game, top 10 0.25 tokens/player, top 20 0.10 tokens/player. For each kill you will get 5 tokens.

What do I get from the chests?

From the chests you can get coins, kit vouchers – which allow you to play a kit a certain amount of times – or kit Designs, Prototypes and Blueprints. The latter three can be used to craft a permanent kit. All of these items can be traded on our player-to-player market in the /hub.

This kit is unfair, overpowered or silly. Can I make a suggestion to change it?

Absolutely, in fact – please do! Player feedback helps us shape our changes which will hopefully benefit our players. Please go to the discord, and post in the “Kit Discussion” channel with the proposed suggestions.

How do I track people and use my compass?

In order to track, you need to update your compass. To update your compass, you right click it on a block, in chat it will say “Compass pointing at WiKi_KiKi”. Follow your compass until the arrow turns around, at that point you’re at the exact position of WiKi_KiKi when you tracked them, so chances are – he is right above or below you! To keep updating, you need to keep right clicking your compass.

My compass says there are no valid targets, what does this mean?

This occurs when you are within 25 blocks of your enemy. To find your enemies position, you can walk away 25 blocks and then update your compass once again. When you track them on your compass, don’t update your compass again! Keep following your compass. When it turns, look up and down. They may be above or below you!

I’m an MVP, but I lost my starting items when I respawned. What do I do?

Well – not a lot. If you chose to be a kit such as Monk, Endermage or Urgal then you probably wont be able to get your starting item back. PRO’s get to keep the kit items that they have in their inventory.

Can I go the Nether/The End in the Hunger Games?

Nope! The End and the Nether are disabled in the servers so you cannot hide in the nether.

Can I mine diamonds and redstone in the Hunger Games?

Nope. Diamond and Redstone ore have been removed from the generator. However, you can obtain diamonds…

How do I obtain Diamonds if they cannot be mined?

Diamonds can be obtained through Villagers, abandoned mineshafts and sand-temples.

What’s the feast, and why is it so important?

The feast starts 12 minutes into the game. At the feast, lots of goodies are spawned in 12 chests. There is also an enchanting table in the middle. Inside the chests, you will find diamond goodies – such as swords, and diamond armor. You’ll also find other useful items such as lots of food, ender pearls, TNT, and many potions! Because of how game changing the feast is, it’s vital you get there! However, there’ll be several other people trying to get to the feast, hoping to get the contents…
