I am currently in the process of recruiting people for my season 2 of RetroCraft.The first season was hosted in 2019 and had around 390 unique successfull applications throughout the year.

Due to personal reasons could not start the server again till now.

Whats so special about RetroCraft?

  • Our server is beefed up just for the sake of providing our players a lag free experience without limiting the players on what farms they are allowed to do and what not!

  • RetroCraft is completely community driven. Unlike other servers , We don’t force our playerbase to comply to whatever an admin or me (owner) says. Community gets a say about everything that happens in the server, what the majority agree on goes!

  • Weekly events to keep the community engaged

  • Shopping district that is also player driven

  • Constant moderation to remove any griefer/cheater without any impact on the server whatsoever (no admins, just me doing the job. so don’t need to worry of anyone admin abusing)

  • Unlike other servers we are hoping to get this server running long term (for a year or 2 ) So you always have the ability to come back to your base and visit everything whenever you want!

  • Close knit & filtered playerbase, we strictly keep standards on who stays inside the server and who doesn’t so that you’ll never have to worry about someone ruining your day.

  • We allow support for bedrock players to join us aswell, since there are very talented bedrock players out there who can appreciate a good playerbase.

    • Season 2 is expected to start on 18/5/2022. So join now , you can be part of where it all started & get a headstart.

    Alternatively, you can try uninstalling Hamachi (if you’ve installed it) and reducing your render distance in Minecraft.

    The “internal exception java.net.socketexception connection reset” error (connection lost) is one of the most common errors in Minecraft.

    The error affects versions 1.7 and up.

    It usually happens in Minecraft Realms, but it can happen in multiplayer servers as well.

    When you join a server and play for a few seconds, you’ll be disconnected from it.

    Here are 4 methods to fix the “internal exception java.net.socketexception connection reset” error in Minecraft:

  • Method 1: Use a free VPN
  • Method 2: Change your DNS servers
  • Method 3: Uninstall Hamachi
  • Method 4: Reduce your render distance

    • Method 1: Use a free VPN

    The first method is to use a free VPN like ProtonVPN.

    Many users reported that they managed to fix the “internal exception java.net.socketexception connection reset” error in Minecraft by connecting to a VPN.

    A plausible explanation for this is that it changes your IP address.

    There are multiple free VPNs that you can use.

    I recommend using ProtonVPN because it’s very reputable.

    Firstly, go to protonvpn.com/free-vpn/ and click on “Get ProtonVPN free”.

    Secondly, select the “Free” plan, create an account, and download ProtonVPN.

    After you’ve downloaded ProtonVPN, connect to any free country.

    Lastly, try joining the Minecraft server again.

    This time, you shouldn’t get the “connection reset” error.

    If you’re still getting the error message, you can try the next method.

    Method 2: Change your DNS servers

    The second method is to change your DNS servers to Google’s.

    Many users managed to fix the “internal exception java.net.socketexception connection reset” error by doing this.

    Here’s how to change your DNS servers:

  • Open the Control Panel.
  • Click on “Network and Internet”.
  • Select “View network status and tasks”.
  • Click on “Ethernet” next to “Connections”.
  • Click on “Properties”.
  • Select “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)”.
  • Select “Use the following DNS server addresses”.
  • Enter “8.8.8.8” as your preferred DNS server.
  • Enter “8.8.4.4” as your secondary DNS server.

    • Once you’re done, restart your PC and try joining the Minecraft server again.

    This time, you shouldn’t get the “connection reset” error.

    Otherwise, you can try the next method.

    Method 3: Uninstall Hamachi

    If you have Hamachi installed, you need to uninstall it.

    A Reddit user found out that Hamachi was causing the Java error in Minecraft.

    After they’ve uninstalled Hamachi, the error was fixed.

    Here’s how to uninstall Hamachi:

  • Go to the Control Panel, search for Hamachi, and uninstall it.
  • Run the Command Prompt as an administrator.
  • Type “netsh interface tcp show global”.
  • Check if “Receive Window Auto-Tuning Level” is disabled. If it is disabled, type, “netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal” to enable it.
  • Lastly, type, “netsh interface tcp set global rss=enabled”.
  • If both “netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal and “netsh interface tcp set global rss=enabled” return with an “OK”, then you’re all set.

    • By doing this, your download speed will also be increased.

    If this method does not fix the error, you can try the final one below.

    Method 4: Reduce your render distance

    The final method is to reduce your render distance in Minecraft.

    You can also fix the lag in Minecraft by reducing other graphic settings.

    Firstly, open Minecraft and join a single-player map.

    Once you’re in Minecraft, click “Esc” on your keyboard, and click on “Options…”.

    Select “Video Settings” to change your video settings.

    Reduce your render distance to 8 chunks and below.

    You can also set your “Graphics” to “Fast”, turn off “Smooth Lighting”, and reduce your simulation distance.

    By doing this, Minecraft will be less laggy and the “internal exception java.net.socketexception connection reset” error will be fixed.

    Conclusion
    The Java Socket Exception error (connection lost) can happen even if your internet connection is fine.

    Currently, Microsoft is aware of the error.

    However, they haven’t provided a solution to it yet.

    In addition, there isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution as each device is different.

    Hence, the best way forward is to try each of the methods mentioned in this article to fix the error.

    Keep in mind that using a free VPN might cause Minecraft to lag.

    If you want faster internet speed, you need to subscribe to a paid plan.

    If using a VPN fixes the “internal exception java.net.socketexception connection reset” error, then I highly recommend subscribing to a paid plan.

    In the worst-case scenario, you need to use another device to play Minecraft.

    5) Be respectful towards others.
    No racism, bigotry, sexism, or slandering of others.
    Treat others the way you expect to be treated.
    Even the slightest toxicity in mannerisms or in a sense perceived as rude- gradually building, CAN get you banned. Watch your tone, realize this is just a game, and play nice.

    6) No massive farms that can potentially lag the server.
    Having a large amount of anything that lowers TPS (Mobs, items, etc.)

    7) Do not ask for staff positions on the server.
    We will decide when to ask the playerbase for staff applications when necessary.

    8) No deliberately TP trapping players, or unfair PVP tactics in general.
    This includes but is not limited to: player warps, land spawns, and combat logging.

    We are a small community that has decided to move on from realms and try out an actual server. We use the geyser plugin on a java server so that anyone can join, regardless of platform. The server is brand new, meaning you can be one of the first to build an empire! We have a friendly community that enjoys both PvP and PvE, wars, raids, and creative builds.

    Features

    We currently have an economy, where money can be earned by killing mobs, and participating in our PvE arena. You can spend your money on the auctionhouse, as well as selling any items you wish there as well. Our PvE arena is in a separate world, and can be joined with a simple command, and is fully automated. We use discordsrv so that players can communicate to players in game through discord. We also have a proximity voice chat in the discord, and an easy to use reference guide for all player commands.

    Rules

    No hacking, exploits, abusing bugs, unfair texture packs, skins, etc. We allow any and all pvp and griefing outside of the lobby and arena world. Griefing, pvp, stealing, looting, are all encouraged, as long as it is done withing the scope of the rules.

    Acuteloot – This one adds in literally BILLIONS of new and unique items you can find. There's things such as specially named items, items with particle effects, and a few unique ones that add some fun mechanics to the game. You can find Acuteloot items in naturally spawned chests, or you might get lucky while enchanting.

    In addition to the usual server accouterments, we also have an active Discord community where players can chat and hang out. Our in-game chat is also linked to the main Discord channel, so even when you aren't at your computer, you can stay connected!     EchoCraft was started by myself and two of my friends, we aim to have a relaxed community with some mild tweaks to Vanilla Minecraft. Although we currently don't have cross-platform compatibility it's on the list!

    This server will slowly update through all of the final updates from 1.8.9 all the way up to 1.21. Once we update we will have one final update (undecided) which will be 1.21 again but with a couple of small fabric mods which will be finalized at a later date.

    We started the server in version 1.8.9 for a month, and now we're updating every two weeks.

    Also, this is meant to be a friendly server. So make sure to be nice to other players and have fun.

    Classic Survival is a Semi-Vanilla survival server that was founded in February of 2020. We feature simple commands such as /tpa and /home while having no claims and no rules against pvp/griefing. The server has reopened and players have been enjoying a new map since March 10th, 2023!
