Minederp was established December 26th, 2010 and started out being hosted locally off a PC. A week later, Ctharvey took over and Minederp became hosted on a dedicated server. Calling this a survival server would be an understatement. Rather this server acts as a way for people to experience power, loss, and greed. Kingdoms are likely to form and with them, so are alliances. Wars can break out, spying can occur and betrayals can happen.
INTENTIONS
This server will at its core be built for the players. You are free to build and conquer any area you see fit. Your medieval kingdom can stretch the whole server if time allows. If the majority of the server would like a change, there will be a vote. Admins are there to serve the players and their wants.
BASIC GUIDELINES
This server is medieval. There is no modern. Nordic, Rustic, etc.. building types are fine but nothing industrial or modern (this also means steampunk). Basically, anything that looks like it could have been built with natural materials is what we're going for. No skyscrapers or car roads. You don't have to be a master builder, it's fine, really.
War is not all-out griefing and chaos. There is a method to the madness.
When your group exceeds 5 players, you can form a kingdom. This will grant you a custom discord rank and a land claim in your desired area.
The world is 4000×4000 to encourage closer kingdoms and more interaction such as trading alliances and possibly, war.

About Experium SMP:
The Experium SMP is a whitelisted 1.20 vanilla server. We are just about to start a brand new season with a fresh world next weekend on June 1st and we are looking for new players to join us then! This server is all about having a fun and dedicated community of players where everyone feels included and actively contributes. So if you're looking to enjoy playing Minecraft on a dedicated SMP, look no further than Experium.
We are still working out some details of the coming season, but we will most likely begin the server on 1.20.6 with the new 1.21 blocks included. With 1.21 expected to release soon, we can keep our builds within a set area and then reset the chunks outside of that once the update comes out to include new terrain features.
This SMP is very much inspired by the Hermitcraft server, as I am a long time fan and am constantly motivated by their community and content. While we aren't trying to replicate Hermitcraft completely, we do play with several iconic features of their server, including several vanilla tweaks datapacks, a clearly defined shopping district, and a big emphasis on community and group events/projects.
This makes for a great time and encourages members to contribute. But this also requires members to get along with the community, make smart decisions, and play actively.
