The purpose of this server is to provide a simple “vanilla” Factions server for both Newbies and Grandmasters alike.
All features that are not an essential part of the Factions plugin (http://www.massivecraft.com/factions) are kept exactly as in vanilla. Beyond the protected spawn the players are free to explore the land and claim territory for their faction.
This way the players will have to rely on mining and/or raiding other factions, not shops.
