Something SMP

Hello all! We are currently looking for mildly to extremely active players to join the Minecraft server known as the Something SMP! We have lore/roleplay on a modded server (mods of which include origins, image to map, enderite, claims, voice chat, and discord integrations, just to name a few).

However, it is NOT a requirement to be a part of the lore if you just want to play on the server!! Just a heads up though, there are a few people on the server who do stream, so if you're uncomfortable with appearing on livestream that's something to note.

You can go into #applications to submit an application, and you can read more via the pinned message in #Something SMP info (It is required to join the discord server, as it has the custom modpack, server announcements and the rules of the server, this process also reduces the number of griefers and trolls).

If you have any questions about the server, or anything related to that, feel free to ask me or any other staff member. We are happy to answer any queries you may have! You can do so on the discord server or here in the comments.

Some other things to note include:

  • This is a java server, with no plans for bedrock to be included at this stage.
  • We have our end & nether reset every few months, so new players don’t have to spend as long hunting for nether & end items.
  • The server owner is on GMT+8, so feedback regarding your application may be slow depending on your time zone.
  • Most staff members are also on GMT+8, so applications may be slow depending on when it’s submitted.
  • This season's lore cut-off point has already passed, so you won't be able to join lore this season, but you can still join next season's lore. (temp dot point deleted after s3 has ended)

PvE – This is our non-PvP server – come along and join us! Players build in survival mode, but only need to worry about mobs! A lot of people collaborate to build towns and cities as for example seen here. Our PvE map reset on June 1, 2024 and is running on 1.20.4. With a fresh, new map you can find some land to build solo or join a town! We also have our Friday/Saturday Games night in which a different player/town hosts a game, which could be spleef, thimble, ice boat races, and even Camel PvP! (Don't worry, the camels stay safe!)

For this weekend's event on PvE we have The Great Food Truck Challenge Friday at 7:30pm EST and Saturday at 1pm EST!

Creative – Our creative server is mostly open world, and a mixture of naturally generated and world painted terrain. Protection is available for your builds, and WorldEdit is free for you to use, if you want to. We just swapped custom enchant plugins, so there is 90 new enchants for you to get. You earn them through trading and the enchanting table, but enchanting costs 30 levels. We have dungeons that our own community made , with custom bosses , unique story lines and even server lore.

Hop over to the creative world where I will give you permissions so you can build your own dungeon. I'll then copy it over to the main world and you can see your work getting played!
