Formerly known as PhoenixCraft, we are a community of staff and players who have kept together since 2013. After the last years troubles we are now back as Oceans Abound and looking forward to rebuilding the community and meeting new players. We have kept the same idea as before, to have a simple and friendly survival server and not deviate too far from the vanilla experience. We do however have a few minor additions to make life a little easier like setting homes, claiming land and teleporting to people. We have recently added the ability to acquire spawners with silk touch, and in the near future a community run shop town.

One of the main features of our server is the factions plugin, which allows players to create or join a faction and claim land, build and defend their base, and raid other factions for loot. In addition to the factions plugin, we also offer semi-op gameplay. The lore is mainly improv and we have origins on the server as well as other mods to spice the game up and make it feel more fresh, but generally we don’t accept custom origins unless they are COMPLETELY balanced, as that lore would be ruined by an origin with overpowered abilities. Finally, some origins are locked for lore reasons, and there’s a dedicated channel for listing these in the discord server.
Also, we’re a generally small community, so don’t worry about this server being a massive 300 player servers with bots moderating everything and a server with 40 people on at all times. What we are is a medium sized community with an interactive and active playerbase and staff team.
