I created this environment to enjoy playing Minecraft with cool people from all over the world, and to have a place online that I could call home
Who are we?
We are a mature 18+ community-focused vanilla Minecraft server that functions similar to the Hermit Craft series.
‘Community-focused’ because we are doing certain projects together such as; shopping district, nether hub, Ender dragon event etc.
To enhance the vanilla gameplay we use a couple vanilla tweaks data packs:
– 1 Player sleep.
– Dragon drops.
– Double Shulkers
– Custom Nether portal.
– Armor statues.
– HUD coords.
Our server is all trust based which means that there are no land claims whatsoever, however we do have admin plugins that could help with anti griefing / hackers to keep the server in balance.

In order to play you’ll need to fill in an application and get accepted into our community.

While this is a reasonable ambition, and the funding and input from these servers has helped evolve the server community, they can often sacrifice the fun of players and community for extra income.

Argolia is an attempt at making the world of servers more open, free and fun for everyone to play on. Most importantly Argolia is not monetized. Each school term, we run a real-life (for-profit) event series which helps sustain and keep the server competitive, however we ask nothing from our players. There is no in-game rank system for donors β instead everyone gets treated fairly and equally, and there are no ways to gamble or buy item packs using real money. Instead of spending time working on these parts of the server, we can instead work on what people actually enjoy β the game. Our staff team works with the community to help build a server environment that everyone can enjoy, and that focuses on rich and rewarding player experiences.

Few rules
Mostly use your common sense and you'll be fine, stealing griefing, cheating is a ban straight away. Any sort of discrimination will not be tolerated. Follow the gentleman rule, that means if there's a door that requires code or a key to enter it don't try to bypass those. The rule you break it, you fix it. If you want to prank someone and it will include griefing some of their terrain or possibly losing items, be ready because you might have to help fix the damage and possible replace the items that have been lost. Ok hi. Overlong life story of this server:
so basically me and my group of friends have gone through a cycle of starting up heavily modded SMP type servers with most of them dying out after only a few weeks. We've come up with various attempts to solve our inevitable server burnouts which is a situation I'm sure many of you can relate to.
And we've come up with a solution… by stripping back the game and harnessing the classic golden age mindset, by starting a vanilla server and just… playing the game without any massive preconceptions or goals or ideas.
The server started off pretty normally. A few of us sorta scattered in different directions and started building bases or whatever. But one of us decided right off the bat to create a lavacast at spawn… ok, why the fuck would you do that??
Well maybe we were all feeling a little bored of playing the game normally, because we started actually helping the guy expand the cobblestone lavacast since frankly it was kinda funny.
Well, this and that happened and we are now basically termites that live inside of a cobbblemonster that is slowly but surely growing due to our grueling efforts of placing down lava and water buckets respectively. It even got big enough to swallow an entire village which was basically casted by the descending lava. Sorta like one of those anthill videos on youtube.
If you're looking for a chill, simple but gimmicky vanilla experience that hearkens back to the old MC days, feel free to join us. We don't intend to grow that big or anything; we're just a group of friends bein dudes inside of a stupid mass of cobblestone. God we hate it here. Fuck.
