Are you a builder, used to play in creative, but tired of having his or her builds remain static art pieces when they should also be alive and useful, integrated in a rich world?
Are you a survivor, who likes the thrill of facing dangers, in the form of other players, monsters or natural perils?
Are you an inventor, who enjoys developing ways to produce useful designs to make survival easier?
Are you a manager, who enjoys taking care of a town, city or empire, creating them from small camps until their land covers a significant chunk of the entire map?
Or maybe you are just a traveler, who enjoys visiting rich, detailed places, natural landscapes or beautiful towns?
You are welcome! Our server is an experimental project to develop an almost self-sustaining environment for players of all kind to play in a medieval/fantasy setting. We try to make minecraft feel less static thanks to our custom plugins. Indeed, we’ve changed how gravity behaves, we’ve developped a more realistic water simulation (with puddles forming when there is rain, and draining through dirt and other materials, to reappear somewhere else), a more natural plant growth system, an entire climate simulation (which you can watch evolve on our dynmap, and has actual effects on the map, like seasons), and many more, to make you feel that you are a part of a dynamic world.
We’ve also developped plugins that blur the difference between creative and survival. Indeed, even in survival, you are able to copy and paste builds… as long as you have a warehouse containing the materials for that copy! This also makes you able to create builds in our creative sandbox, before moving them into the survival overworld in a completely legit way.
We’re finally moving slowly away from Towny to a custom plugin called Civilizations, which attempts to bring more freedom to the look and feel of cities, but also to bring more features than just plot management, like creating temporary camps, individual houses away from towns, renting and purchasing various plots, including fields, creating custom groups, like guilds or others (why wouldn’t you make your own assassins or merchants guild?) and so much more.
We try to find the good balance between making a complex world and a fun gameplay. Come help us achieve this!

Our goal is to keep this server as close to vanilla as possible. However in a world like we live in there is always at least one bad apple. So we have added LWC to lock chests, Core Protect to see “who dun it” or rollback damages, and Dynmap.

This server is on hard difficulty. There are no “OPS or Admins” with the power to use any commands other than /kick, /tempban, Core Protect and LWC admin functionality. Those few people are a small group of a select few. We expect everything to be legit.

The spark has ignited and our adventures within a new untamed wilderness begins soon…
Our homes await us within an expanding 5k by 5k overworld wilderness. There will be plenty of time to build up your personal empires or join others to accomplish the same goal. Perhaps you’ll attempt to conquer the Warden if you dare. Although redstoners beware, as your precious nether quartz is temporarily.. out of reach.. so prepare for some creative thinking to solve some short-term redstone problems.
Portals won’t work until after the stars align to allow us access to the hellish underworld of the Nether. Take your luck by getting unlimited bacon and creating a beacon. Or go in search for the precious material for netherite and bastion busting for the netherite upgrades. You never know, you might be saying “screw the nether” after your equipment goes up in a puff of smoke or getting brutally pummeled by a piglin wielding a gold axe.
After conquering the Nether with a cobblestone tree and of course we repair our dirty and burnt things. The void hungers for our very lives and items. The ender dragon will be flapping and tapping waiting to be put out of its lonely existence. Be weary explorers, the End has riches that will make you have an addiction for fireworks along with those pesky shulkers, either will be an uplifting experience unless you go out with a bang or go splat.
1.20 experimental features are enabled along with bundles!

Howdy! welcome to The DiR SMP, a lore based modded SMP. We're pretty cool with an active player base, snazzy modpack, and special weapons hidden within Loot chests. We have just started a new season (started 9th of march), so you will be progressing with everybody else! Alongside this, we have a 24/7 server with 16 Gigs, soon to be more so a generally Lag free experience is to be expected. We have a 2k by 2k world border that will expand slowly throughout the life of the SMP.

What are the weapons?

We use a mod called "Simply Swords" which have unique weapons, each having their own abilities and quirks to make them special and powerful.

Friendly long-term public survival server (No P2W) that has been around for over 4 years since we started our world in Minecraft 1.14, with over 15,500+ unique players ever joinedmostly vanilla, grief protection, no whitelist, no pay-2-win, & no economy plugin! Bedrock & Java Cross-Play! Long-term Overworld & Nether with claims enabled, both worlds will never be reset! No set world border or spawn, players are spread out all over the world randomly! Use /rtp to randomly teleport in range of 50k blocks from center spawn point & find a comfy location to set a /home! Grief is allowed if the area is NOT claimed! CoreProtect is also used to help protect the server. Public shopping district area where anyone can apply to have a shop, type /tpshop to teleport there!
