We’re a brand new server started by a veteran server admin/owner. Our goal is to create a friendly yet competitive classic SMP experience for you. The underground of every dimension is filled with custom ores. (Player heads, but we can ignore that). These ores give much more variety when mining, and some can even help you survive underground for long times.

Leveled Mobs
Hostile mobs are assigned a level based on distance from x0 y0. While these levels do not effect damage or gear, they will have increased health. Luckily, higher level mobs are rarer.

We’ve spent a lot of time on this, so please check us out! It would mean a lot.

Quills & Sabers seeks to provide a sandbox in which members may pursue the endeavors of creating civilizations of varying beliefs and agendas in a grand arena of geopolitics that many faction servers seem to lack. The experience, similar to the Minecraft Civilization Challenge videos, is what we seek to provide.

Want to rule with an iron fist, or maybe give your followers a say in the governance of your lands? Or you seek to operate in the shadows unknown to the rest of the crowd, or potentially you just want to be a member of a society and help progress your common folk to better times. Whatever it is, we seek to help satisfy that block-game politics craving.

There are absolutely no spawn lobbies or safe zones; this is a completely vanilla (though we might add datapacks later on) experience where you are meant to build the world. There is no predetermined currency or economy, nor are there any P2W elements whatsoever. You are the writers of this story, and we are eager to see what you all come up with.
