ZillaSMP; Kingdoms and Politics

ZillaSMP is a Western European themed medieval roleplay SMP with kingdoms, naval warfare, tradable currency, and light RPG mechanics. It's almost like an entirely new game inside of Minecraft! (no mods are required to join)

ZillaSMP is set in a time between King Alfred the Great's death, and the formation of England; just as King Alfred's kingdom of Wessex took its last stand against the vikings. It's not intended to be 100% historically or geographically accurate, it’s meant to serve as a playable “alternate timeline” that is written through player actions and roleplay.

As with any roleplay server, there are many different roles you can choose or be selected for; knight, pirate, viking, lord, liege, etc. There are many kingdoms spread out in ZillaSMP’s 20k by 20k sized map; allowing chances for trade, war, conflict, and negotiations.

The Superflat Experiment

Superflat survival provides one of the most challenging gameplay experiences Minecraft has to offer, while still allowing the player to experience most of the game's content. Players can thrive in an otherwise desolate wasteland by utilizing naturally occurring structures such as Villages, Mineshafts, Ruined Portals, Strongholds, and Pillager Outposts.

Because of this, I have created a Superflat server with zero game-changing plugins and no intrusive rules. The map has been running since March 11, 2022, and thousands of players have joined and made their mark on the server. The community has grown significantly, and many have faced the challenges head-on, with bases formed and destroyed over the years. As the oldest standing vanilla superflat server, I intend to keep the server online as long as anyone is interested in playing.

  • Updated in-game referral plugin to give 2 hours instead of 30 minutes before expiring.
  • Updated the design of the rule board at spawn with an image based rule list.
  • Added banner patterns to our in-game AstroMart.
  • Reintroduced Trails as part of our in-game rewards. Any prior ones earned are retroactive.
  • Evolution Stones have been added to the Evolution Items shopkeeper in /warp AstroMart.
  • Since we have a datapack to use type gems for breeding items; Type Gems have been added to the Breeding Item shopkeeper in /warp AstroMart.
  • Regieleki has been fixed in the legendary crate to now properly be awarded.
  • Updated Zygarde Cell Fix datapack.
  • Switched from forge world edit to bukkit world edit.
  • Added a skript to potentially disable creative flight upon joining.
  • We have been slowly turning over the old crates system into a new one with tons of unique animations. Please feel free to turn in any old keys you find for new ones!
  • Added a marriage plugin for the couples on the server! Feel free to show your love to someone with /marry!
  • Added a premium (paid) survival games plugin for when we host events on the server.
