This is a 1.20.1 and updating server, with an emphasis on fair moderation (appeals, and punishment only for true rulebreaks), extreme longevity (absolutely NO resets, you could play here for years!) and inclusivity of all people and playstyles. Our vanilla+ modpack with many optimisers ensures minimal client-side lag. Server-side, we have 16 gigs of ram + a Ryzen 9 7950x CPU.

The server operates on a Safezone-Borderlands system, where a continuously expanding 4k-radius area centred on spawn has claims, graves and disallows (unless with consent) griefing, killing and stealing. The Borderlands is much more resource-rich but allows griefing, killing and stealing and has no claims or graves.

We have a very special mod, the Origins mod! Along with the 9 base origins, we have roughly 61 custom origins, all carefully reviewed so that we can make sure each one is balanced, unique and well designed! A server that's main goal is to provide fun worldbuilding via roleplay, nations, and conflict. Come join us in our small but hopefully growing community and make history.

You can create deep connections between nations and characters, create towns and nations that interact with each other, create history and roleplaying as your character to develop it, and to create an enjoyable server experience for everyone.

We want players to join and build their own stories, and see how theirs interacts with others in the grand scheme of things.

Asides from a worldbuilding aspect, we have a friendly community that's accepting of all peoples (except meanies!), there are in-game community events that everyone has a jolly time in.

About Experium SMP:

The Experium SMP is a whitelisted 1.20 vanilla server. As of today, June 1st, we have just started a brand new season with a fresh world and we are looking for new players to join us! This server is all about having a fun and dedicated community of players where everyone feels included and actively contributes. So if you're looking to enjoy playing Minecraft on a dedicated SMP, look no further than Experium.

With 1.21 just around the corner, the server is currently running on 1.20.4 with the new 1.21 blocks included. For now we are keeping our builds within a 1500×1500 block area so that we can reset the chunks outside of that once we update to include the new trial chambers (there's no world border so you can still go anywhere in the world to explore/gather resources). This is also a fun way to encourage players to settle nearby each other in the early stages of the world, and then expand further out after we update.

This SMP is very much inspired by the Hermitcraft server, as I am a long time fan and am constantly motivated by their community and content. While we aren't trying to replicate Hermitcraft completely, we do play with several iconic features of their server, including several vanilla tweaks datapacks, a clearly defined shopping district, and a big emphasis on community and group events/projects.

This makes for a great time and encourages members to contribute. But this also requires members to get along with the community, make smart decisions, and play actively. That's why I have created a simple application process that you can fill out by clicking the link at the bottom of this post. Now, here are some of the server details.

Member Requirements:

Have Discord and be willing to voice chat with other members
Be able to remain active
Be an experienced and capable Minecraft player
Have decently good Minecraft building skills
Age 18+
Speak English

Server Rules:

Show respect to all other members and their in game creations (There is a 0 tolerance policy for any hate speech, slurs, or disrespect towards how people identify)
No griefing other members (know the difference between fun pranking/trolling and straight up griefing)
No taking the resources of other members unless given permission
No use of cheaty mods/hacks such as x-ray (things like optifine, minihud, etc. are completely okay)
No duping of blocks/items aside from TNT
Try to keep builds mostly lag friendly if possible and don't build lag inducing builds in common areas

Sequel to its predecessor unGODLY Part II, which was a sequel to unGODLY, which was a sequel to Hellback, this server is similar to its previous counterpart in that its primary focus is giving power to the players while still allowing for a significant degree of challenge and difficulty. Hostile mobs are much stronger and faster, but players are given better tools, abilities, and opportunities in order to properly combat them.
