Hello, Redditors! Check out Stinky SMP! This is a 1.20.1 and updating server, with an emphasis on fair moderation (appeals, and punishment only for true rulebreaks), extreme longevity (absolutely NO resets since May 2022) and inclusivity of all people and playstyles. Our vanilla+ modpack with many optimisers ensures minimal client-side lag. Server-side, we have 16 gigs of ram + a Ryzen 9 7950x CPU, the best CPU for Minecraft SMPs in the market.

WANT BLOODSHED? WANT PEACE AND LOVE? HAVE BOTH!

The server operates on a Safezone-Borderlands system, where a continuously expanding 4k-radius area centred on spawn has claims, graves and disallows (unless with consent) griefing, killing and stealing. The Borderlands is much more resource-rich but allows griefing, killing and stealing and has no claims or graves.

THE ORIGINS MOD!

We have a very special mod, the Origins mod! Along with the 9 base origins, we have roughly 61 custom origins, all carefully reviewed so that we can make sure each one is balanced, unique and well designed! You can even suggest custom origins, but it'll have to be high quality. Of course, if you don't like this mod, or don't like your current origin, you can always pick Human or use your free three changes/craft an origin change.
Other than this mod, our modpack is very vanilla-like. We aim to mostly only include features that Mojang could feasibly add.

Welcome to the Sanctum SMP!

We’re a mature, relaxed group of people looking to expand our player base. After having played together on a vanilla SMP and a modded server we are now a few months into our second (close to-)vanilla world. We have some small plugins active, like preventing endermen griefing, custom armor stands and single player sleep.

The server is Hermitcraft inspired, which means we welcome people to build nice bases and farms and open a shop in our shopping district. There are no shop plugins, it’s a diamond based economy. We have a few shops up already but there are plenty of opportunities for new endeavors. We also welcome everyone to think of and build games in a gaming district that has yet to be developed.

For a lot of us, Minecraft is a nice way to relax and wind down from the hassles of everyday life. That’s why we look for mature, likeminded people to join us. The Tangles is a new Minecraft RPG server! Battle through dungeons with your allies for unique rewards, explore the shattered world of the Tangles in the cataclysmic aftermath of a rogue god's meddling, and navigate the twisted political realities of the strange and varied factions you will encounter, all with one overarching goal: becoming as strong as you can be.

Outfit yourself and your allies with the best bracelets in the game as a Watchmaker, brew exotic and mundane concoctions for any situation as an Alchemist, create facsimiles of life and servitude as an Artificer, trace ancient symbols onto paper for magical and unexpected effects as a Scribe, or simply keep everyone fed as efficiently (and tastily) as possible as a Cook! Or, you know, just fish all the time and call it a day.

Exploration can reveal things such as new quests, jumping puzzles, minibosses to battle (and later rechallenge for unique loot!), riddles, and hidden archery targets, all of which give unique and massively-empowering consumables or equipment to make your adventures in the Tangles more and more the way you want them to be.

We have a gaming community along side this server – as our players have longed for fireteams on Destiny 2, create farms together on Stardew and much more! So you are all welcome to join us!

What kind of players are we?
We are all adult players with normal lives who just happen to like Minecraft because it is relaxing and fun. We understand that people come and go and that motivation goes up and down. We joke and laugh and respect each other. We also try to get together regularly (on Discord: (https://discord.gg/wvkqYHuKqE) and do things together in-game)

What kind of server is this?
We promote a low-stress community atmosphere, where we can take our time, think before we act, and have fun together!
We respect each other and our differences. We act and communicate responsibly and take responsibility for our actions in-game. It is a server free from griefing and thieving. We want you to help make us a tight-knit community of fun-loving Minecrafters.

We also vote to host Modded minecraft servers, Last season we had a Vault hunters server as well. (Currently hosting a Valhelsia 6 modpack server for those interested!)

You are a generally nice/good person. (This isn't rocket science, people)
