The Minecraft Library of Babel is a library that spans an entire Minecraft world. It contains every possible combination of 15 characters. That’s over 100 quintillion books (1 followed by 20 zeros).

How do I browse it?
A world download would be approximately 400 petabytes in size, so instead you need to use a custom Minecraft server. You can download the source code for this server hereor join this server which will be hosting the world 24/7: mclob.doteye.online (currently on Java version 1.18.2).

You will be placed in a random part of the library. Right click on a bookshelf to open it and take out books. The books will respawn so don’t worry about putting them back. Type /help for a list of commands. The most useful command will be /search, which lets you find where a specific page is located in the library.

FAQHow does this work?
Each time you open a bookshelf, the server uses a special algorithm to convert the coordinates of the bookshelf into a series of books. The algorithm ensures two things:

The same bookshelf always contains the same books.

No other bookshelfs will generate the same pages.

This way, the pages are never actually stored on the server (that would take up too much space). Instead, they are generated on the fly.

Why only 15 characters per page?
Even though Minecraft worlds are so big, they’re only big enough to fit all 15 character books. If I tried to fit all 16 character books, I would need to store 27 times as many books and there simply is not enough space in a full Minecraft world for that.
Why do other players rarely move?
In order to reduce lag and support the most amount of players on the server at the same time, player position updates are done at very rarely.
Why can’t I do _____ on this server?
In order to reduce lag and support the most amount of players on the server at the same time, many common Minecraft features are not available including throwing items and syncing player state.

Vales of Murak is a unique and custom Minecraft gamemode taking inspiration from the legendary but forgotten game MineZ. Start your adventure anywhere in a starting village in the south of the map and collect loot by finding different types of chests across the special locations the world has to offer. Use the online map to guide yourself to the risky north, full of unique and dangerous creatures. Fight other players with the same goals in mind or try your chance in the many dungeons. What is our goal?
◙ Our mission is to create a Minecraft server just like they were hosted back in the early days of Minecraft. I want to do somewhat of a recreation of a server I used to play with my old best friend. Not exactly a block-by-block recreation but a recreation in style. That server being called DARCECRAFT. I just recall so many great memories from that server in particular.

Why?
◙ Servers now put a bad taste in my mouth. They all beg players for ranks and spit in the players face if they decide not to purchase ranks. In certain situations its the only way to progress or have any fun. I want this trend to die off. Although I know it won’t. That’s why I am here. To hopefully make a change in some way. Click here to join our discord to stay up to date with updates! The Underdark is a vast network of underground caverns and tunnels underneath the surface of Abeir-Toril. It was home to a host of evil beings driven deep into the caverns at the end of the age of demons.

The fictional Underdark’s physical characteristics are based upon conditions in real-world caverns deep underground, except at immense size. Within the context of a game, the Underdark is extremely dangerous, especially to non-native characters and creatures. There are also the usual dangers associated with caverns: claustrophobia, poor air circulation, floor/ceiling collapses and getting lost.

There is no light except for occasional patches of phosphorescent fungus, or the rarely spotted torch wood is again not that common but it does grow all around the “Underdark” [server map] and where it does grow the trees are massive, they grow thick and tall and are all ancient! there are mostly covered in vines, this is the underground

The Underdark, unlike those before it is the first of its kind with the first ever created 100% full underground submersive experience that is sure to bring you into the fold of the forgotten lands of beauty savageness magic and war!

We are in the works of building something new and not done yet before! We plan to bring back those long since wanted MMO feelings that is born with in the game and with that we are happy to say this is a all in one server and will not be using any mods! with nothing to install client side. With this all said we would like to bring you a taste of what is to come with Project Underdark
