Welcome to the Rebirth of ComicMC! Back in 2020 I started working on a server and shut it down due to real life problems. But I am back and ready to work on it as much as I can! I’m so excited because I have learned more than I ever had before via powers, quests, models, etc. With some friends on board ready to help me I can offically release the server and so many unique abilities.
=Concept of the server=
The concept of it is basically having players complete quests/missions in order to recieve currency. The currency is used to actually unlock characters that withhold amazing, unique, and some with even groundbreaking abilities. Currency will later be used for unlocking alternate costumes, items, and vehicles. It’s very different than other DC/Marvel servers as they heavily focus on roleplay and application systems. I wanted to steer clear from this as I like to be different. Giving players the power to countless characters rather than applying for one and staying as them. Even with having multiple characters, the powers and skins make up for still being able to feel like the character.
=Current State=
Currently, there are about over 50+ characters already implemented along with still being implemented and ready to played! Since it is in beta all characters are available to try out and give a taste of what this server really is. No need to have a staff member give you your character when you can just jump straight into it and soon unlock them! There are about 6 quests already added and ready to get a head start along with defeating some bosses. Characters are started to be overcome with models and textures rather than plain vanilla items. Characters are constantly being updated by myself and giving them more moves if I think of any or get any requests. There are a few voice lines added into the server and soon animations with very cool stuff 😀
=The Future=
Once I’m satisfied with the large DC roster I will move on and add Marvel with more characters, abilities, quests and more! I will also continue to keep adding new features onto the server.

HOW TO PLAY
After entering the server for the first time, you will find yourself in the lobby.
Later, you can exchange useful items such as armor or building materials for experience points.
To start the game, enter one of the “Go to World” pressure plates.
You are ready to go – explore the world and earn some experience points. Of course, you can earn these by the usual methods such as slaying monsters etc. You will also receive a new xp-level around every 10 seconds.
Now comes the exciting part – treacherous disasters will befall you from time to time. To stay alive, you can mine everything you find, take it with you and keep it – there are no griefing restrictions in the main world. Maybe you will even manage to build your own base with the resources?!
As soon as you die, you end up in the lobby and your entire inventory is deleted – except for your experience points! Use these to equip yourself better from the start and stay on track for longer. To get an item, simply click on the button in front of it – the levels of experience points you need are shown on the Redstone blocks.

We are a longstanding SMP with currently over a dozen active players and we are looking for more! A few players have been there since the early days, others since last year, and a few joined only recently.
Our main guideline to leave the "meta" of pure Vanilla survival as unaltered as possible (for a public server).
The only 3 plugins that interfere with this are:
GriefPrevention, a sleep voting plugin, and player item shops for trading. That means as many features from other plugins you know from other servers are absent by design and won't be added. There are two ranks "new" and "player"they do not give any benefits. You can not buy "power" for real money here and we have no adminshops. Everything on the map was build and farmed in survival.

What you have read so far sounds like your cup of tea? Well then you may fit right in. Laid back rules, a close knit community, having some events from time to time, and there is always something you can help with. Staff and ohter players are usually available to help you. Need help digging? Just died far away? Raid an Ocean Monument? No problem! We also have a Hermitcraft-like shop area for players using a trade shop plugin.
This is supposed to feel like a vanilla server. The default currency is diamonds. This is not enforced its just what everyone uses. No warps, you have to walk, fly by Elytra, or set up infrastructure such as piston bolts or blue ice highways. You can focus on long term projects, take your time, because we NEVER RESET the map. Megabases welcome. Leave for months, pick right up where you left.
In +7 years time we built a lot of farms and infrastructure. This makes it a lot easier to get going early in the game, especially for endgame players. But fear not, there is always need for expanding upon whats already there.
The spawn city is protected. Areas there are released for community builds. Outside the city you can build your own base(s). You will get more claimblocks during play.
Hosted in Germany with 128GB Ram, a Intel i9-9900k, and 1TB NVMe SSD; the server runs on Paper. Regarding updates we don't always run the latest version but we plan to update to every major release eventually. In case an update brings a big change in world generation (e.g. 1.18) we delete chunks that have been loaded less than 5 minutes. Meaning someone likely just passed by while exploring.
For land claiming we use GriefPrevention, which lets you protect areas you selected with a golden shovel. You can allow certain or all players to build and or access chests/buttons, on your claim. It also protects your claims and the worlds surface from creepers. Then there is also a chest shop plugin. You can use iron nuggets to create villager-like trades. You can do this anywhere, but its recommended to do this in the shopping area or your claim. Harbor is a plugin which skips the night, if 20% or more players are in bed. Lastly there is one that lets you rotate Glazed Terracotta.
Additionally we have some datapacks and tweaks: Ghasts don't break blocks. You can silent mobs by naming them "silent" (undo with "unsilent"). Your 1st kill of the Enderdragon gets you an Elytra. Craftable Enchanted Golden Apples. Hermitcraft posable Armorstands. Some recipes have been tweaked (bone blocks directly from bones, recolor glass,… )

The AussieSMP is an Australian hosted Survival server with a small community of players from around the world. The server is a whitelisted application-based server, if you would like to join you will need to use the link above. This is put in place so that players feel safe that their builds will remain intact and that we don’t have anyone who won’t fit in to the culture on the server. The gameplay is mostly vanilla with some extra quality of life features like teleports, features that promote player trading and methods to protect from griefing.

Many other survival servers modify various game mechanics, one of the main aims of this server is to not change too much of the Vanilla mechanics such as how entities act, villagers, terrain generation etc.
A decently sized shopping area that is filled with player created shops that promotes a feeling of community and helps players easily trade between each other. Players use diamonds as currency within these shops to trade for other items/blocks.
Getting out of spawn and into new lands is easy with the use of a random teleport command which can be accessed by right-clicking the NPC at spawn or by typing /rtp. There are also various other teleports that are made available on the server so that you can quickly get back to your base or check up on what your mates are doing.
The server has a land-claiming system that uses a golden shovel. Over time you’ll gain claim blocks that can be used in whichever server you play in, and when you’re ready you can claim your chests and builds to keep them safe from other players. This is purely an optional safeguard, many players don’t claim their land as the community doesn’t appreciate griefing so players who participate in that are very quickly filtered out of the server.
The survival server consists of multiple worlds which have plenty of new 1.20 chunks in them. If you like long-term survival worlds, the AussieSMP is for you! There are no plans to do a full reset of the main worlds ever.
The server is part of a growing network, so not only are there multiple survival worlds, there is a creative server where players can build without limits or just test their redstone contraptions.
