Welcome to Virendor. A place of beauty and magic from mountain high to sea below. Whether it be the Seraphim Peaks, the Shattered Abyss, the Windswept Meadows, or perhaps even the Wraithwood Mire, there are mysterious entities and wondrous creatures lurking and thriving within. This land calls forth to adventurers and settlers alike to tame its wilds. For that to happen, all you have to do is look… Beyond the Veil.

My intent is to create a Minecraft fantasy roleplay server open to all over the age of 16. It will have some NPCs for getting started, such as shopkeepers who sell food and buy materials found throughout the world, a resource world for obtaining building blocks, and events throughout the server's lifetime. Right now I will only have a small server for people that are helping but remember I would like to make this an actual server for people to play and have fun on. The veil smp is a lore focused minecraft server that is open to all types of people, we have already been open for a few weeks and are looking for some new people to make things more interesting. If you have cool ideas for lore/ a character, want to create a nation and attempt to conquer the world, make cool builds, or just generally hang out and have a good time this is the perfect place for you.

There is an established server backstory that you can mold your character around, including several different gods, a backstory for the land itself, and even the mysterious rift in reality located at spawn known as the veil (youll have to join to learn more) and weve already have had some awesome storylines, which included but were not limited to

National conflict

Kidnapping of a beloved sniffer by a group of pirates

Religious indoctrination

MANY counts of attempted murder

House arrest

A masquerade that was actually a front for a human sacrifice (it was still fun tho)

Possession and Ghosts

Spirit clones? (im really not even really sure about this one ask Matt if you end up joining)

Weve also had several community events ordained by the gods themselves in lore, including a build competition, and currently on going treasure hunt, where 2/3 hidden treasures have been found, maybe you can find the last one. We also have several plans for other community events in the future, and we are also super open to ideas

The server will focus on the economic / role play and nation building part of the game.
You will start out with nothing and need to find a town to join or survive in the wilderness. Build your fortune and fame!

Towns can be created and multiple towns can form nations. these can go to war with each other using the advanced war system

Players can setup shop at small trading outpost or mayor city’s
They need to trade amongst each other to gain wealth. there are no admin shops on the server.

further you go out from spawn, mobs will increase in difficulty. and there is a temperature and thirst system.

Survival will be HARD! you better team up!

Non-vanilla terrain generation with terralith

There are also fun mechanics like brewing drinks that give various effects
