Continuous Horizons is a low-key whitelisted
survival server. The server has been public since late February 2020,
and has slowly grown through word-of-mouth and small advertising these
past couple months. It is a semi-vanilla server, meaning that there’s a
number of plugins installed to improve quality of life, but not
drastically change the core mechanics of vanilla survival.

This is not a comprehensive list, but those most applicable to player

Various Essential Commands /home, /tpa, /spawn, etc.
DropHeads Mobs have a chance to drop their skull

Server Rules Motto:
As for how I run the server, its pretty relaxed. In the past Ive played
on numerous survival servers for extended periods of time, and I always
loved to explore the world to see what others have made. Kinda watching
the history of the server develop. I try to apply that idea to my
server, allowing folks to build and play the way they want, and watch
the server grow around the players, with plans of keeping the same world
for the indefinite future. However, there are still some rules that
folks need to follow to keep the server in a nice, calming environment.
The following are the basic rules of the server, but are not limited to
this list.

* Respect everyone on the server. A really general rule, but this
basically means don’t grief or steal from other players. Don’t pvp till
both parties agree to fight. Respect the chat between players with no
spamming, advertising, or NSFW content.

* No hacking or cheating, it provides an unfair advantage over the other
players. Some mods are allowed however, like Optifine. Best to ask about
a mod before using it to see if its allowed.

* Be courteous with potential lag-inducing machines, as long as it doesn’t affect the gameplay of others, its all good.

Basically, play fair, respect others, and use common sense. By simply doing that we wont have any problems. 🙂

Community:
Community-wise, majority of current players are a bit older, 18+, but
there are a few who are younger but are well-behaved. I wouldn’t say were
like a hermitcraft server, but more of a hangout spot for busy people.
There’s no obligation to be active or interact with other players, but
the option to do so is available to you. I personally see it as a place
to go relax after a long day of work, and spend some time with other
minecrafters. If you’re looking for a more relaxed and hands-off sort of
server, this might be the place for you!

form at the Website URL, which should lead to a Google Form.

Welcome to Steelton MC!

This is our all-in-one reference page. Here you will find all the information you need to understand our server as a new player.

Short summary

Steelton is a hard, semi-vanilla survival server. PVP, raiding, and griefing are allowed. However, players are also given the ability to create land claims in order to protect their builds and items PVP is disabled in all claimed areas. Our vision is to create a server that provides an enjoyable experience by bringing Minecraft back to its roots – friendly players and a small devoted staff team.

General information

The server is, first and foremost, a survival server, and most of the plugins we use are chosen with the survival player in mind.

The server’s difficulty is set to hard. This means that you will find lots of mobs and death by starvation is possible. Plan accordingly!

The server is Semi-vanilla. This means that you can expect an experience somewhat similar to vanilla Minecraft. However, certain plugins are used to create a richer player experience and make server management easier for the staff team.

There are a number of rules, which we enforce to ensure a safe, fair, and fun environment for everyone. For more information, please check the Rules section, and/or type /rules in game.

PVP, raiding, and griefing are all allowed.

Players are encouraged to protect their builds and items from raiding and griefing by claiming them using our claims system.

Client-side modification exceptions:

Modifications that are cosmetic and/or do not give you an unfair advantage over other players (Optifine, minimaps, etc.) are allowed. In general, it’s better to be safe than sorry – if you are unsure, ask the Staff!

Guidelines and etiquette:

Keep in mind that our server has a very diverse playerbase, with players of all ages from many parts of the world represented. Treat everyone with respect, regardless of your personal relationship with them.

Welcoming new players to the server is a great way to make new friends and contribute to the growth of our community! Greeting new players is not a requirement, but refrain from acting in a way that actively discourages them from playing on the server. Avoid immaturity.

Staff members will occasionally ask for feedback and input from members of the community – we use your feedback to make the server a better place! Don’t hesitate to contact us if needed.

Ban appeals:

If you believe you have been banned by mistake, please refer to the Ban Appeal section of the forum.

Ranking up:

Use /warp promotion – you will be ranked up automatically. This will enable PvP.

Rules: If civilians want to allow griefing on their property as per a story or chain of events; they have to specify. No bullying. The country shouldn’t have to be at war, they have to have a war division to control wars, and the government of the country can control the war division if it’s against the spirit of the nation.

Keep civilians in mind.

Basic Rules
Take care of the natural environment

It is forbidden to leave trees half cut down.

Stealing, entering someone else’s houses or orchards that are not yours without consent

Do not modify or damage buildings that are not yours without permission.

Use correct and polite language, respect others and avoid insults, insults and disrespect

You can build wherever you want, as long as you don’t get too close to other projects or users who don’t want neighbors.

This is a new server and will have issue – I am only one person and some of the feature will break

A social experiment, where we based this server for the people. Make groups, cities, empires, and more with your friends. This server is almost entirely based on voting so your voice matters.

Rule
