As deftly closed as it was opened, the door swings silently shut. Hat, Coat, Keys, Quiet. Only the pitter, pitter, pitter, pat out of doors and footsteps. One, two, three steps down. The familiar smell of dust and age-old pages. A nook by the high window and cushions abound. Waking soon gives way to sleep at the hands of a good book. Dreaming. Fields of hay and mushrooms. Cottages with stout chimneys. Forests, rivers, and… awake again. No… Not wake. This is not the corner host to so many long days and late nights. Pat, pat, pat… skitter. Pillows and rain has given way to meticulously hewn stones
and stale air.

“Awake at last.” A mere whisper amplified so many scores by church walls. Deafening.

Whiskers like hay. A nose akin to caps from so many stews before. Homely and stout, smoking a cigar like a stovepipe. Forest green eyes sparkling as lively as a bubbling brook.

    ABOUT: Dire Nights SMP is an 18+ community currently recruiting/seeking new players with any Minecraft experience to join our small group of players and hopefully call the server their new home. Whether you are brand new to Minecraft or a 10 year veteran, this may be the perfect place if you’re seeking a hermitcraft/mindcrack like vanilla experience.

    The world was created July 8th 2022 and is still fairly new but many major projects are still being built at spawn while most players help by
    pitching in with supplies. We strive to allow players to do whatever they want as long as it is not giving other players a bad time or anything that would be considered cheating. We currently do not have an economy, most players work together as if it was a close knit realm and share resources. Anyone is welcome to start shops or continue to feed into the barter system we have, anything is welcome here.

    Our main purpose is to create a Minecraft server/community that strives to create friendships and a positive game play experience for everyone involved. Anything is possible here, if you want to start a guild and recruit players to join? Maybe build a town maybe 200 blocks from spawn

    and compete with spawn for its population? We let you do what you want without much interference. TNT dupers and bedrock breakers are allowed but item duplication glitches may be disputed by admins and isn’t advised.

    PLUGINS AND INFORMATION: Currently the server is running a Paper Jar with light modifications like Luckyperms and Coreprotect and a few datapacks are installed (anti-enderman griefing, tab afk menu, 1 person sleep). The seed is a secret to ensure new surprises when exploring. This is about as many modifications we want to the vanilla Minecraft experience, we do not wish to overwhelm the player with addons like McMMO or minigame realms, we strive to make the game fun the standard Minecraft way.
