The World of Aethius

Set on the continents of Aversia, Aethier features a custom rendered map full of unique player factions, dungeons to explore, and beautiful landscapes. The server boasts a Medieval high fantasy setting with countless possibilities: questing knights, powerful mages, vampire-like Vallah, Dwarves, plant people Sinnehliv, mer-folk Syrien, animalistic Dryads and Leonin, holy paladins, demonic servants, and much, much more! Aethier prides itself on its expansive lore and diverse setting. Aethier is a roleplay heavy server, meaning that the primary facets of the server, such as politics and combat, rely on roleplay rather than faction plugins or vanilla minecraft mechanics. The Community

Whether it be in game or on our respective TeamSpeak and Discord servers, Aethier features a robust and welcoming community that is not only dedicated to the server but is also passionate about welcoming new players regardless of their previous experiences in roleplay or lack thereof. Aethier is run by a collection of teams including Welcome Team, Moderation Team, Lore Team, Event Team, Factions Team, Custom Items Team, and Operations Team, all of which are made up of dedicated players who want to see the server succeed.

The Factions

The major factions on Aethier are ever changing as power shifts hands in the political system. A vast majority of our factions are player made and run, with the exceptions of a few event factions run by Event Team to further add to the diversity of our setting and detail of the storyline. Everything about our server, from the plugins we use, to ore locations and farming rates, were customised from the ground up to facilitate the Nation and Politics aspect. Ores themselves are limited to certain parts of the map, requiring travel or trade with others. Animals breed, and crops grow, only in certain biomes and at different rates in others, again to facilitate trade. Land is not just something you settle; it is a commodity and precious for its own reasons.
We have a custom profession plugin allowing you to specialize in certain aspects of play. Becoming a Researcher will unlock certain enchantments others can’t get; the better the researcher the better the enchantments, until eventually you reach a pinnacle in which you can sell your craft to others. None of our professions limit the vanilla aspect of minecraft we all know and love, and instead expand upon those aspects, offering more in player interaction and socialization.
We have an active and mature staff team as we strive to continue to hold that value of maturity. People expect to play fair, Minecraft is a game, and a game we all love and enjoy; our goal is to continue to allow our players to enjoy that in as fair an environment as possible. What is the setting?
Fables of Velorae is set within the vast world of Velorae. The server itself is placed on the small continent Brivaea, neighboured by two much more intimidating continents, Varilea, to the north, and Fadrean, to the south. The Austerian Kingdom rules over Brivaea and owns a set of subdomains in Varilea, and is powerful enough to be considered a superpower within worldwide politics. This does not halt its competitors, however, as the heir to a once-great Empire, as well as a culturally different but equally powerful civilization to the south, all scramble to the top. To make matters complicated, a recent pandemic spread across the eastern world which enveloped these superpowers in a plague that lasted one year short of a decade before swiftly dying out. To present date, these great Kingdoms are now freed of their infliction and the board of nations is ripe for the taking. Only time will tell what should become of these rising tensions.

How do I join?
Unlike many roleplay servers, you can immediately jump into the action by entering the server.
