Dominus SMP is a 16+ SMP centered around an optional semi-monthly PvP Tournament. Twice a month, a 1v1 PvP tournament will take place in the Dominus Tower, and the winner of the final round will be granted the rank of “Dominus” in the discord and Minecraft server until a new winner emerges. Of course, the Dominus will receive in-game rewards as well, including diamonds, netherite, and a statue of their skin displayed at spawn.
The Dominus will be allowed to, and even encouraged to, enter the tournament for multiple weeks in a row for the opportunity to keep their rank. Those who achieve multiple win-streaks will earn a separate role displaying their achievements, which unlike the “Dominus” role, is permanent. Additionally, in the weeks between the Dominus tournaments, other events might take place.
But aside from server events, it is a regular SMP where griefing, and stealing are highly forbidden. Players who are interested in participating in the Dominus tournament will use the time outside of events is to grind gear for the Dominus tournament because it will not be provided for the tournament. The reason we aren’t providing the gear to participants is to allow more personalization in combat. It’s important that you find the right enchantments and resources that suit your playing-style and strategy. You may use any method and feature provided within the game to defeat your opponent.
