We have been around for a while and recently decided we should open up a minecraft server, after discussing what we wanted out of it we came to the conclusion that we should make a factions server (Ohh no not another one you might be thinking) But were going to make the server as special as we can.
How are we going to that
We are going to have a dynamically changing economy instead of people making massive farms and making loads of money were making it so if people sell alot of one item it value will go down and the other products of the same category will go up, meaning there wont just be a massive underground sugarcane farm making millions a day.
We are also going to be scheduling random events whether this is a boss fight or a PVP tournament there will be an event that you will be able to do.

Rank systems.
At this moment in time we currently have a humanity system like the one implemented in DayZ if you kill people your humanity decreases and you will become a bandit but if you help people your humanity will increase and you will become a hero. This was implemented to help new people know who they should trust at a quick glance.

Two main teams.
When you join the server the first major choice you are faced with is which team will you choose The Shade or The Templars

Each team has its own rank tree and the requirements for each Rankup are chosen by each teams leaders HighWarlord(The Shade) and HighCommander(The Templars)
The rules regarding the teams are simple you can only have faction members of the same team.
You also may not kill each other or raid each other unless the HighWarlord or HighCommander says you may.

If you find a problem let an admin know and next patch we will get it fixed for you the same goes for if you have an idea, if you wish for something to but changed or added tell a member of staff and if we like it we will add it in the next patch.

Updates/patches
Instead of updating a little bit everyday we edit files offline then once everything is ready we will go and upload everything when this happens there is normally a downtime of around an hour, We will let you know in advance when an update/patch is being added.

Short description of our community in general:

We are currently a small community only consisting of one server for the popular video game Minecraft but aspiring to grow to a large community with a variety of servers. The community was started by Xapper in October 2013 when server set up and configuration begun. Our aim is to create a community that is friendly and where everything is handled as professionally as possible. The community was founded based on a vast previous experience of handling the kitchen side of various MMO servers for others.
To ensure a professional interaction between our staff and players, our staff will receive a thorough briefing on what is expected of them and how to handle things when accepted to our team. Make no mistake though, we have strict rules and our staff will do everything in their power to see to it that disciplinary punitive actions are taken when someone decides to break the rules set in our community.

Features:

Our currently only server is configured around Towny, mcMMO, Economy and strong PVP/PVE recommendation.

You start off as a regular peasant, assigned to a default town but are encouraged to quickly either gather the necessary in-game currency to start your own town, or move in to a town another player has already started.

To accumulate currency, there are many ways: Go out and kill monsters, make pray of other players, vote and receive point store points for which you can obtain large quantities of in-game currency or simply hang about and wait for your hourly payday that increases as you rank up by killing mobs and players.

Be part of a town or start one yourself. In your town, nation or plot, you are the one who denies, commands, hangs and shoots. YOU decide what others can do on your plot, in the town your are the mayor of or in the nation you lead as a nice and just or… not so nice unjust king.

Wage wars, with other nations or towns. Pillage their properties you usually have no access to and gain currency for your town/nation by doing so.

Develop your skills by doing virtually anything in-game from digging dirt to killing mobs. A higher skill rank will give you many perks, including: Dealing more damage, Mining faster, Getting double drops from your actions AND MORE.

Join our building contests, of which there will be 2 different kinds, a smaller bi-weekly contest with adequate prizes and large monthly contests where the prizes will be substantial.

Many different events, based on community suggestions, current demand and as we see fit ourselves.

Features and different being added constantly, as our community grows – based on need, your suggestions and our own vision on how to make game-play more interesting for you.

NO overpowered VIPs. They receive benefits but nothing game breaking for the non-VIP players.

Professional staff team. We hand pick our staff members as and when we see fit based on the potential we see in a candidate we set our eyes on. As has already been said, we run Bukkit on our server, which enables us to use a range of plug-ins to change &/or enhance the experience of both staff & players on the server. While there will always be changes to the plug-ins & configurations of those plug-ins on the Server, we do have a general direction we want to take ourselves. The first, is that we enable ways for players to protect themselves, this is done both through the use of Lockette & our website. Star Trek MC is a minecraft roleplay server based on the well known Star Trek franchise created by Gene Roddenberry and was created in 2013. We aim to recreate our own missions and build our own timeline based on the events happened after Star Trek Nemesis. Players can create their own characters and join one of the known species and organisations and can even become a Starfleet Officer. Furthermore, players can rank up in their career and can command their own starship one day. We host regular roleplay events, which are really well made and have a lot of content and development.

Since July 2024, we have been working on a new edition of Star Trek MC. In this roleplay edition, each player will play a character in the Star Trek franchise. They can choose their race, name, biography etc. At this time, all players are part of Starfleet. Roleplay will be created by players for the players. Meaning that Senior Staff (like Chief of Operations) hand out tasks to Officers to carry out. You will play as an Officer of our flagship and roleplay the day-to-day operations. We call this passive roleplay.

You can imagine roleplay like this: In our beloved star trek series, we see the highlights of the plot, but not every day. They are snippets. Our roleplay events are like the episodes you would see on television and when there is no event happening, the roleplay is the everyday operation of the ship or the preparation for the next event. This could be preparing cargo for a colony, setting up security precautions for an important escort. Senior Staff would manage the preparations by assigning tasks to their crew members.

On special days, Gamemasters will host events where the Crew will face a challenge and they need to work together to find a solution. For handling tasks and actions, a /roll system will be used. Most commonly known from games like Dungeons & Dragons. Practically the outcome of the roll will decide the success or failure of the action. We just concluded Closed Beta and are now preparing for Open Beta, starting soon!

With our social credits system, players can earn reputation and credits. These social credits can be achieved by actively taking part in roleplay events, divisional classes, completing tasks and going above and beyond. Promotions are based on the player’s social credit, so each player needs to rise to the required SC level in order to be qualified for promotion.
