ZillaSMP is set in a time between King Alfred the Great's death, and the formation of England; just as King Alfred's kingdom of Wessex took its last stand against the vikings. With that said, we are more of a build orientated smp and pretty limited on the technical aspect due to server performance. Our economy is kind of like Hermitcraft, with diamonds as the currency. There is also a shopping district at spawn which is the heart of the server.
As a community, we're into big, ambitious projects, so you'll find some awesome builds scattered around. We've got a mod pack that adds some fun stuff like voice chat and optimization tweaks. It's optional, though—no pressure.
