How do I browse it?
A world download would be approximately 400 petabytes in size, so instead you need to use a custom Minecraft server. You can download the source code for this server hereor join this server which will be hosting the world 24/7: mclob.doteye.online (currently on Java version 1.18.2).
You will be placed in a random part of the library. Right click on a bookshelf to open it and take out books. The books will respawn so don’t worry about putting them back. Type /help for a list of commands. The most useful command will be /search, which lets you find where a specific page is located in the library.

FAQHow does this work?
Each time you open a bookshelf, the server uses a special algorithm to convert the coordinates of the bookshelf into a series of books. The algorithm ensures two things:
This way, the pages are never actually stored on the server (that would take up too much space). Instead, they are generated on the fly.

Why only 15 characters per page?
Even though Minecraft worlds are so big, they’re only big enough to fit all 15 character books. If I tried to fit all 16 character books, I would need to store 27 times as many books and there simply is not enough space in a full Minecraft world for that.
Why do other players rarely move?
In order to reduce lag and support the most amount of players on the server at the same time, player position updates are done at very rarely.

I’m glad to see you here, I’m writing this for you (you – you). You see perhaps the most vanilla server. This server has a rich history filled with events, a large number of bases from players, interesting events, player associations and more, you definitely won’t get bored 🙂 Only survival, nothing more, lamp server! Let’s take a look at all the benefits:
1) No privates (But all actions are logged, and your broken buildings will be restored, and griefers will be banned).
2) There are no privileges, game items, rights or opportunities that change the balance of the server. (that is, a donation that breaks the balance. Only charitable voluntary donations for which they give rewards, for example, a colored nickname, a raincoat, etc.).
3) An interesting story that the players create. There are many bases on the server from players, as well as from entire associations (clans, republics, empires, unions, principalities, etc.). You can find all of them on the way to finding the perfect place for your/her home/base/community.
4) Cheating is prohibited, duping is also prohibited. But, if you have nowhere to go, there is a 2b2t place on the server, you cannot get to it manually, only through the button on the spawn or using the command (/warp 2b2t). There are no rules other than chat rules. (From there it is forbidden to take out duped things – this is a ban, everything is logged).
5) On the server there are wars and events from the players (purely PVP + capture of territories, if the players kept the enemy base under control for a long time), very different, from PVP to attacks from above. This server aims to be political, but it is not entirely political.
6) The server is on the old version, perhaps it conveys the atmosphere of those years, along with nostalgia. A little earlier it was on 1.5.2, but now it is on 1.8, but it can be accessed from 1.4.7 to 1.8.
7) No giveaways of items and benefits, only 1v1 from minecraft worlds

As for how I run the server, its pretty relaxed. In the past Ive played
on numerous survival servers for extended periods of time, and I always
loved to explore the world to see what others have made. Kinda watching
the history of the server develop. I try to apply that idea to my
server, allowing folks to build and play the way they want, and watch
the server grow around the players, with plans of keeping the same world
for the indefinite future. However, there are still some rules that
folks need to follow to keep the server in a nice, calming environment.
The following are the basic rules of the server, but are not limited to
this list.
* Respect everyone on the server. A really general rule, but this
basically means don’t grief or steal from other players. Don’t pvp till
both parties agree to fight. Respect the chat between players with no
spamming, advertising, or NSFW content.
* No hacking or cheating, it provides an unfair advantage over the other
players. Some mods are allowed however, like Optifine. Best to ask about
a mod before using it to see if its allowed.
* Be courteous with potential lag-inducing machines, as long as it doesn’t affect the gameplay of others, its all good.
Basically, play fair, respect others, and use common sense. By simply doing that we wont have any problems. 🙂
Community:
Community-wise, majority of current players are a bit older, 18+, but
there are a few who are younger but are well-behaved. I wouldn’t say were
like a hermitcraft server, but more of a hangout spot for busy people.
There’s no obligation to be active or interact with other players, but
the option to do so is available to you. I personally see it as a place
to go relax after a long day of work, and spend some time with other
minecrafters. If you’re looking for a more relaxed and hands-off sort of
server, this might be the place for you!
