Hello, Planet Minecraft. It’s been years since I’ve used this site; however, I decided to see what would happen. All of our current members are long term friends who talk in voice chat and are over 18, so if you’re looking for a more dedicated server without immature staff, continue reading. (If you’re looking for staff abuse, griefing, etc. Then I regret to inform you that this server isn’t for you.)
Moving on to the server post you came here for! (Let’s be honest, most probably don’t care and won’t read this anyway.) I, along with a few others, decided to return to Minecraft hosting recently. The server has your typical survival elements: Kill, Build, Die, Rage, Respawn, Die again, Etc. While these features are fun and provide us with so much joy, we decided to do something a bit different.
Reason for PMC Post: Find people who show a maturity level that is at least higher than a rock(Rocks hurt and not very fun explaining to my pet fish a rock injured me) and would like to help set up and test the server.
Server Concept: Survival with quite a bit of RPG inspired elements. These elements consist of: Races, Quest, Proximity Voice Chat, NPC/Player Shops, Survival, Land Claiming, Stats, Skills, and more to come later. (Like stated in the “Reason for PMC Post”, this server is up, and technically you can play, but not all features are ready to be fully locked into place, and resets will be performed as needed.)

My friend and I started a our second season of our Java Edition Minecraft SMP 'Blue Moon SMP II' a couple months ago and are seeking new players to join our community. While our rules are minimal, they are vital for maintaining the structure of our cherished community. Our SMP operates on a relaxed basis, with few limitations on activities, locations, or speech. Central to our server's ethos is the establishment of a vibrant, cohesive community. While I could easily implement designated areas like shopping districts and gaming zones, these spaces would lack significance without an engaged membership. We envision our SMP as a flourishing sanctuary where friendships blossom and camaraderie thrives. Interacting with fellow members is pivotal; willingness to engage and forge connections is a pivotal aspect of joining our SMP. We eschew individuals displaying antisocial or intolerant behavior. Creativity and Consistent Engagement:
While these expectations may seem straightforward, we don't require architectural prowess to participate. Our focus is on enjoyment rather than relentless optimization or grinding. However, proficiency in building is valued as we strive for a visually appealing server. That’s why SUPER☺︎FUNLAND will never reset the overworld. So many of us run into the periodic Minecraft phase, but can’t commit to a long-term world. We want to be that world for your Minecraft creativity.
When you come on our server, you’re getting back to the blocky basics. As a building-focused community, we want to mitigate some of the grind-ier aspects of the game, so we’ve changed the recipes to give you more blocks for your bang, making it easier to get into that flow of making awesome builds to show off to the community.
Additionally, this server has daily nether and end resets (~3 a.m. Eastern Time). Let’s be honest, Nether highways suck. They make travel faster, sure, but they make overworld transportation a thing of the past.
Remember playing Minecraft for the first time, and building paths to and from your friends’ builds? We do too, and think something special was lost when Nether transportation became the norm.

Started a humble server. There is more info on the Discord server. The server IP is there. Lmk if you need any guidance or have any questions.
I have a list of plugins added, they are all QoL mods and will work correctly on both the bedrock and java versions. We are on 1.20.6 right now, and as soon as purpur releases a stable version we will be upgrading to 1.21. ViaVersion and ViaBackwards are installed.

AussieSMP
The AussieSMP is an Australian hosted Survival server with a small community of players from around the world. The server is a whitelisted application-based server, if you would like to join you will need to use the link above. This is put in place so that players feel safe that their builds will remain intact and that we don’t have anyone who won’t fit in to the culture on the server. That being said we are always looking for new members and you are welcome to apply at any time!
The gameplay is mostly vanilla with some extra quality of life features like teleports, features that promote player trading and methods to protect from griefing.
If you are wanting to have a ‘pure vanilla’ experience, this server probably won’t be for you as it has some teleport commands and an economy backed by diamonds, but if you’re interested in that, then this server might be a good choice for you (and your friends!).
The server is hosted in Sydney, Australia, meaning if you are in Australia or New Zealand you’ll have a low latency to the server. If you are from somewhere else in the world you are also welcome to join us, just keep in mind that your latency might be a bit higher than the rest of the people on the server and players might not be active while you are on because of timezone differences.

The server is running the latest version so you can enjoy all the new features of the most recent update of Minecraft.

Many other survival servers modify various game mechanics, one of the main aims of this server is to not change too much of the Vanilla mechanics such as how entities act, villagers, terrain generation etc.

A decently sized shopping area that is filled with player created shops that promotes a feeling of community and helps players easily trade between each other. Players use diamonds as currency within these shops to trade for other items/blocks.

Getting out of spawn and into new lands is easy with the use of a random teleport command which can be accessed by right-clicking the NPC at spawn or by typing /rtp. There are also various other teleports that are made available on the server so that you can quickly get back to your base or check up on what your mates are doing.

The server has a land-claiming system that uses a golden shovel. Over time you’ll gain claim blocks that can be used in whichever server you play in, and when you’re ready you can claim your chests and builds to keep them safe from other players. This is purely an optional safeguard, many players don’t claim their land as the community doesn’t appreciate griefing so players who participate in that are very quickly filtered out of the server.

The survival server consists of multiple worlds which have plenty of new 1.20 chunks in them. If you like long-term survival worlds, the AussieSMP is for you! There are no plans to do a full reset of the main worlds ever.

The server is part of a growing network, so not only are there multiple survival worlds, there is a creative server where players can build without limits or just test their redstone contraptions.

Various external community resources such as, Automated Spectator Livestreams on the weekends, a Discord where players can find out future plans for the server or chat with other players, A wiki that has information and guides on how to use features specific to AussieSMP.
